Jorge Negrete
Jorge Alberto Negrete Moreno (; 30 November 1911 – 5 December 1953) was a Mexican singer and actor. He specialized in the musical genre of ranchera. His posthumous album "Fiesta Mexicana Volumen II" has been ranked by critics at No. 163 on their list of the greatest Latin albums of all time. Life and career Negrete was born in the city of Guanajuato and had two brothers and three sisters; his father was a Mexican Army Colonel who fought with the Revolutionary faction called Northern Division ('' División del Norte''); however, around 1920, he quit his military career and moved with his family to Mexico City. There he found a job as a math teacher in several institutions, such as the German College "Alexander Von Humboldt"; there his sons David and Jorge studied until middle school, and as a result, they became fluent in the German language. Guanajuato (, Otomi language, Otomi: ) is a municipalities of Mexico, municipality in central Mexico and the capital of the Guanajuato, State of Guanajuato. The National Association of Actors (, ANDA) is the Mexican actors guild. It is a member of the Bloque Latinoamericano de Actores (BLADA, the Latin American Actors' Block) that includes all of the actors' unions in Latin America. Charro
''Charro'', in Mexico, is historically the horseman from the countryside, the Ranchero, who lived and worked in the haciendas and performed all his tasks on horseback, working mainly as vaqueros and caporales, among other jobs. He was renowned for his superb horsemanship, for his skill in handling the lasso, and for his unique costume designed specially for horseback riding. ''¡Ay, Jalisco, no te rajes!'' ( English: "Jalisco, don't back down") is a 1941 Mexican film directed by Joselito Rodríguez, starring Jorge Negrete, Gloria Marín and Carlos López. It is the prequel to '' El Ametralladora,'' starring Pedro Infante in the role as Salvador Pérez Gómez 'El Ametralladora'. It is based on the book ¡Ay, Jalisco, no te rajes! by Aurelio Robles Castillo. Evita Muñoz was five years old when she played the character Chachita in the film, and also earning her the nickname she was known by for the length of her career. It was released at the Cine Olimpia on November 12, 1941. Jorge Negrete and Gloria Marín first met at the reading for the film and, although Negrete was already married, they both had chemistry both on and off the camera which became evident in the film.
