Jonathan Clare
Jonathan Luke Clare (born 14 June 1986) is an English cricketer who formerly played for Derbyshire. An all-rounder, he is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. Early life Clare was born in Burnley, Lancashire. He attended St Theodore's RC High School in the town. From a young age he played for Burnley Cricket Club, following in the footsteps of fellow cricketer James Anderson. Career Clare's Second XI Championship debut came as a sixteen-year-old in the 2003 competition, in which he played two games for his home county, Lancashire's second XI team. Clare has been regularly appearing for Derbyshire's Second XI since 2005, making his debut in the competition with a half-century against Nottinghamshire's Second XI. Clare made his List A debut for Derbyshire in the 2007 Pro40 League competition, playing against Durham. Dale Martin Benkenstein (born 9 June 1974) is a South African former cricketer who was an all-rounder. He is also a former first-team coach at Lancashire and Hampshire. Benkenstein was a member of the South Africa team that won the 1998 ICC KnockOut Trophy. Early life Benkenstein was born in Salisbury, Rhodesia (now Harare, Zimbabwe), the son of Martin Benkenstein, who had played for Rhodesia in the Currie Cup in the 1970s. In 1980, around the time of Zimbabwean independence, Martin moved his family to Durban, South Africa. Liam Edward Plunkett (born 6 April 1985) is an English cricketer who bowls right-arm fast medium. He was an England cricket team, England international until 2019, and was part of the squad that won the 2019 Cricket World Cup. An all-rounder is a cricketer who regularly performs well at both batting and bowling. Although all bowlers must bat and quite a handful of batsmen do bowl occasionally, most players are skilled in only one of the two disciplines and are considered specialists. In cricket, a batsman is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batsman is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress.
