Jon Normile

	Jon Normile Jon Normile (born July 20, 1967) is an American fencer. He competed in the individual épée event at the 1992 Summer Olympics. He fenced for the Columbia Lions fencing team. Normile graduated from Columbia University with a B.S. in civil engineering in 1989. He was inducted into the Columbia Athletics Hall of Fame in 2006. The three disciplines in modern fencing are the foil, the épée, and the sabre (also ''saber''); winning points are made through the weapon's contact with an opponent.
