Jon Anderson (American Football)
Jon Anderson is an American college football coach and former player. He is a defensive quality control coach at Old Dominion University. He was the head football coach at the University of Sioux Falls from 2017 to 2022. Anderson served as the head football coach at West Virginia State University from 2013 to 2016. The Old Dominion Monarchs football program represents Old Dominion University in college football, U.S. college football. The first iteration of the team created in 1930 was known as the William & Mary Norfolk Division Braves. Founded in 2009, the current Monarchs team competed as an NCAA Division I FCS independent schools, FCS independent for their first two seasons. In the 2011 season, they joined the Coastal Athletic Association Football Conference, Colonial Athletic Association and added conference games to their schedule, playing there until joining the Conference USA of the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, FBS in 2014. They joined the Sun Belt Conference in 2022.
