''Jolina'' is the second studio album by Filipino singer and actress Jolina Magdangal released by Star Music on January 9, 1999. The album consists mostly of passionate, easy-listening love songs, a style of music quite popular in the Philippines. Five of the tracks on the album were originally used as soundtrack in various movies she starred to which include "Tameme" and "Sana'y Kapiling Ka" in the film '' F.L.A.M.E.S.: The Movie'' (1997), the re-recorded "T.L. Ako Sa'yo" and her cover of "Tulak Ng Bibig, Kabig Ng Dibdib" in '' Kung Ayaw Mo, Huwag Mo!'' (1998), and "Kapag Ako Ay Nagmahal" in '' Labs Kita... Okey Ka Lang?'' (1998). Maria Jolina Perez Magdangal (; born November 6, 1978) is a Filipino singer, actress and television personality. Often referred to as the "Honorific nicknames in popular music, Queen of Philippine Pop Culture", she is credited for heavily influencing pop culture in the late 1990s to early 2000s through her colorful fashion statements, camp style and impact on Pinoy pop, pop music. ''On Memory Lane'' is the third studio album of singer-actress Jolina Magdangal released by Star Music on January 23, 2000. The album consists entirely of remakes of originals from the 1950s and 1960s. All but one song are covers of international tunes, while "Sweet Sixteen" is the only Filipino remake. At the time of its release, remakes of international songs were trendy in the Philippines and other artists also had success with covers. Magdangal joined the bandwagon through this album, but instead of exploring the music mines of the '80s and the '70s as most artists did that time, she traipsed across the '50s and the '60s. In its packaging, not only that she is also costumed and made-up as a World War II beauty on the cover but is also photographed in other period costumes inside the booklet. "Paper Roses" is a popular song written and composed by Fred Spielman and Janice Torre. It first was a top five hit in 1960 for Anita Bryant. Marie Osmond recorded it in 1973 and took her version to number one on the US country chart. Maalaala Mo Kaya
(, abbreviated as ''MMK'') is a Philippine television drama anthology series broadcast by ABS-CBN and Kapamilya Channel. Hosted by Charo Santos-Concio, its first iteration was aired from May 15, 1991 to December 10, 2022. It is the longest running drama anthology series in the Philippines. Anita Bryant
Anita Jane Bryant (March 25, 1940 – December 16, 2024) was an American singer and anti-gay rights activist. She had three top 20 hits in the United States in the early 1960s. She was the 1958 Miss Oklahoma beauty pageant winner, and a brand ambassador for the Florida Citrus Commission from 1969 to 1980. From 1977 to 1980, Bryant was an outspoken opponent of gay rights in the United States. In 1977, she ran the Save Our Children campaign to repeal a local ordinance in Miami-Dade County, Florida, that outlawed discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation. Throughout the country, supporters of gay rights condemned Bryant for her campaign.
