Joe Hendricks
Joseph Edward Hendricks (September 24, 1903 – October 20, 1974) was an American lawyer and politician who served six terms as a United States representative from Florida from 1937 to 1949. Early life and career Joe Hendricks was born at Lake Butler, Union County, Florida where he attended the rural schools and Montverde School. He also attended Stetson University in DeLand, Florida and graduated with an undergraduate degree in 1930 and a graduate degree from its law department in 1934. Hendricks was admitted to the bar in 1934 and commenced practice in DeLand, Florida. Hendricks was an attorney for the legal tax survey of Florida in 1934. Syd Herlong
Albert Sydney Herlong Jr. (February 14, 1909 – December 27, 1995) was an American lawyer and politician from Florida who served ten terms in the United States House of Representatives from 1949 to 1969. He was a member of the Democratic Party. Early life and education Herlong was born in the small community of Manistee, Alabama in 1909, and moved with his parents to Marion County, Florida in 1912. He attended the public schools of Sumter and Lake counties and graduated from Leesburg High School in Leesburg, Florida. Herlong attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity (Alpha Epsilon Chapter), and graduated in 1930. Hillsborough County is located in the west central portion of the U.S. state of Florida. Stetson University
Stetson University is a private university with four colleges and schools located across the I–4 corridor in Central Florida with the primary undergraduate campus in DeLand. The university was founded in 1883 and was later established in 1887. In total, there are over 4,000 students currently enrolled at Stetson. History Stetson University was founded in 1883 and was first known as DeLand Academy, after the principal founder of the town, Henry Addison DeLand. In 1889, the name was changed to John B.
