Jess Mruzik
Jessica Ann Mruzik (born June 15, 2002) is an American professional volleyball player for LOVB Houston. She played college volleyball for the Michigan Wolverines and the Penn State Nittany Lions, which she led to the 2024 national championship. She was named first-team All- Big Ten four times and first-team AVCA All-American in her championship season. Early life Mruzik was raised in Livonia, Michigan, the daughter of Jeff and Jackie Mruzik. She began playing volleyball as a fourth grader. She wanted to play for the Michigan Wolverines from an early age and was a ball girl for the team in middle school. She attended Mercy High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan, being named all-state all four years. In her senior year in 2019, she led Mercy to go 59–1 and win the Michigan state title and was named the national Gatorade Player of the Year. LOVB Pro (pronounced "love" and commonly referred to as League One Volleyball) is a women's professional indoor volleyball league in the United States. The league is owned by League One Volleyball (LOVB), a volleyball body founded in 2020. Its LOVB 2025 Pro Season, first season began in January 2025. The Nebraska Cornhuskers women's volleyball team competes as part of NCAA Division I, representing the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in the Big Ten Conference. Nebraska played nearly four decades at the Nebraska Coliseum, NU Coliseum until moving to the larger Bob Devaney Sports Center in 2012. 2014 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament
The 2014 NCAA Division I women's volleyball tournament began on December 4 and concluded on December 20 at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The tournament field was announced on November 30. Penn State defeated BYU in the finals to win the school's 7th NCAA title. Qualifying teams The champions of the NCAA's 32 conferences qualify automatically. Twenty-two conferences hold tournaments, while the other ten award their automatic bid on the basis of being the league's regular-season champion.
