Jeff Silverman
Jeff Silverman is the president of Yuk Yuk’s, Canada's largest chain of comedy clubs. He has also been a concert promoter, former promoter at Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern as well as an author, publisher, business consultant, and graphic artist. Jeff is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He worked for four years as a Commercial Artist at TRP Studios in London and became accountant representative for Benson & Hedges, Milk and Rothman Cigarettes. In 1974, Jeff joined his brother operating Quasar Publisher Representative Company in New York, a company that produced restaurant reviews for ''Cavalier'', '' After Dark'' and ''Penthouse Magazine'', and the ''Who’s Who In North American Restaurants''. Yuk Yuk’s
Yuk Yuk's is a national comedy club chain in Canada, founded by former stand-up comedian Mark Breslin and established in 1976 by Breslin and long-time friend Joel Axler. The company is currently run by Breslin and his long-time partner and president Jeff Silverman. The head office is located in downtown Toronto. Currently there are nine Yuk Yuk's Comedy Clubs in five provinces across Canada. Yuk Yuk's primarily uses talent under exclusive contract to its in-house agency, Funny Business Talent Inc., but it also books popular American stand-up comics to tour their clubs from coast to coast. The All-Night Show
''The All-Night Show'' is a television series starring Chas Lawther. It was created and produced by Jeff Silverman which ran from September 19, 1980, to August 29, 1981 on CFMT-TV in Toronto. The show was written by Errol Bruce, Chas Lawther, Michael Lennick and Jeff Silverman. During its run, ''The All Night Show'' ran Mondays through Saturdays, running from the end of other programming (typically 2 am, but 1 am on Saturdays) until 6 am. It featured early voice work by Maurice LaMarche and Jim Carrey, both at the very start of their careers. Premise The premise was that Lawther's character, Chuck the Security Guard, was the overnight security guard for CFMT (which at that time was branding itself as "MTV", prior to the introduction of the American music channel MTV). Little Feat is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California formed by lead vocalist and guitarist Lowell George, bassist Roy Estrada (both formerly of the Mothers of Invention), keyboardist Bill Payne, and drummer Richie Hayward in 1969. The band's classic line-up, in place by late 1972, comprised George, Payne, Hayward, bassist Kenny Gradney, guitarist and vocalist Paul Barrere, and percussionist Sam Clayton. Bryan Ferry
Bryan Ferry (born 26 September 1945) is an English singer and songwriter. He became known as the frontman of the band Roxy Music and also launched a solo career. A Flock of Seagulls are an English new wave band formed in Liverpool in 1979. The group, whose best-known line-up comprised Mike Score, Ali Score, Frank Maudsley and Paul Reynolds, hit the peak of their chart success in the early 1980s. Rough Trade (1968–1988) was a Canadian rock band centred on singer Carole Pope and multi-instrumentalist Kevan Staples. The Good Brothers
The Good Brothers are a Canadian country, bluegrass and folk music group originating from Richmond Hill, Ontario. The band's core members are Brian Good (guitar), his twin brother Bruce Good (autoharp) and younger brother Larry Good (banjo). Brian and Bruce Good initially joined guitarist James Ackroyd to form the band James and the Good Brothers in 1967. Their self-titled album was released on Columbia Records in 1971.
