Jayashree is an Indian actress who appeared in Tamil-language films in the 1980s. She was introduced by film director C. V. Sridhar in '' Thendrale Ennai Thodu'', opposite Mohan, in 1985. She started a career in technology in 2000, taking a break from acting after her marriage. Career Jayashree started her cinematic career with the 1985 Tamil film''Thendrale Ennai Thodu'', opposite Mohan. After getting married in 1988, she left the film industry to focus on her family, and later began a career in technology. She returned to acting with the 2010 film ''Kadhal 2 Kalyanam'', though it was never released. On Christmas Day 2016, Jayashree's comeback film ''Manal Kayiru 2'' was released internationally. Jayashree Banerjee (born 2 July 1938) is a leader of Bharatiya Janata Party from Madhya Pradesh, and a former member of parliament. She contested Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha election in 1972 as a member of Jana Sangh from Jabalpur Cantonment seat but lost. She was elected to Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1977 (Jabalpur Central, Janata Party member, pre-BJP days), 1990 and 1993 from Pashchim Jabalpur. Jayashree R. Patanekar is a Hindustani classical vocalist. She has received training in Gwalior, Jaipur and Kirana gharana. She has received training from the great maestro Gajananrao Joshi. Early life and Tutelage Jayashri Patanekar's family is originally from Sawantvadi. Patanekar was initiated into Hindustani classical music by the late Vithalrao Pai at Sawantwadi. Her family shifted base to Goregaon in Mumbai. Her father was a painter and later started working in secretariat. When she was 16 she began learning under K. D. Gavkar of the Kirana gharana at Mumbai. Gavkar guruji was disciple of Abdul Karim Khan. She learnt from him for quite some time and participated in All India Radio music competition in 1963 where she came second. Jayashree Ramadas (née Taskar) is an Indian educationist. She was the Centre Director (2011–2016) of Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), a National Centre of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) in Mumbai, India. In her capacity as a professor she teaches graduate courses related to cognition and science education. She is also a member of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics and International Committee on Physics Education. Ramadas was appointed Dean, HBCSE, in November, 2008, and in June 2011, was appointed the Centre Director. She is currently Professor at the TIFR Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies, Hyderabad.
