Shivpal Singh Yadav
Shivpal Singh Yadav (born 16 February 1955) is a politician and educationist from Uttar Pradesh, India. He was born in Saifai village, Etawah district, and is a younger brother of Samajwadi Party leader late Mulayam Singh Yadav and uncle of the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav. He is a Member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, representing the Jaswantnagar seat in Etawah district, from 1996 till now. He is also the National General Secretary of Samajwadi Party and was appointed on 29 January 2023. In 2018 he founded his own party named Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohiya), which was merged into Samajwadi Party in 2022. Early life and education Shivpal Singh Yadav was born on 16 February 1955 in Saifai village, Etawah district to Sughar Singh Yadav and Murti Devi. He has studied in Kanpur University's K.K. P.G. 1977 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
Elections to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held in June 1977 to elect members of the 425 constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, India. The Janata Party won a majority of seats and Ram Naresh Yadav was appointed the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The number of constituencies was set as 425 by the recommendation of the Delimitation Commission of India. 2002 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election
Elections to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly were held in 2002. Following a spell of 56 days of President's Rule from 3 March to 2 May 2002, Mayawati became Chief Minister on 3 May 2002 for the third time after the BJP extended support to the BSP. BJP state president Kalraj Mishra resigned, and was replaced by Vinay Katiyar, who thought up slogans like "Haathi nahin Ganesh hai, Brahma Vishnu Mahesh hai" to defend the alliance. But the problems kept mounting, and Mayawati resigned in August 2003. On 29 August 2003, Mulayam Singh Yadav was sworn in as the Chief Minister with the support of BSP dissidents and ran the government until 2007. It is said that BJP leaders convinced Vajpayee that Yadav would help in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections — Mulayam did not, however, help, and while the NDA lost power at the centre. Samajwadi Janata Party (Rashtriya)
Samajwadi Janata Party (Rashtriya) (SJP(R)) was an Indian political party founded by Chandra Shekhar, who served as prime minister of the country from 1990 to 1991. He led the party until his death on 8 July 2007. At the time of his death, he was the party's sole member of the Lok Sabha. The party was formed on 5 November 1990 when Shekhar and Devi Lal broke away from the governing Janata Dal. The party was able to gather 60 MPs and form a government, supported by the Indian National Congress (Indira) with Shekhar as Prime Minister. The SJP(R) government lasted for seven months, from 10 November 1990 to 21 June 1991. Shekhar's government collapsed when the INC(I) withdrew support. S. R. Lokdal or Lok Dal is an Indian political party based on agriculture policies, founded by former Prime Minister Charan Singh. It was founded on 26 September 1979 by merging Janata Party (Secular), Socialist Party (Limaye) and Orissa Janata Party. Charan Singh was elected president of Lok Dal and Raj Narain, its working president. In August 1982, major split occurred in Lok Dal, with one faction of Charan Singh and another consisted of Karpoori Thakur, Madhu Limaye, Biju Patnaik, Devi Lal, George Fernandes, Kumbha Ram Arya.
