Jason B. Parrish
Jason Basford Parrish (September 28, 1878 – October 3, 1906) was an American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Hampden–Sydney College in 1902 and as co-head coach with Ancil D. Brown at Syracuse University in 1903. He was also a member of the Syracuse Orange men's rowing, Syracuse Orange men's crew in 1901. Parrish died on October 3, 1906. He was buried at Rose Ridge Cemetery. Syracuse Orangemen Football
The Syracuse Orange football team represents Syracuse University in the sport of American football. The Orange compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Syracuse is the only Division I FBS school in New York to compete in one of the Power Four conferences. The Orange play their home games in the JMA Wireless Dome, referred to as the JMA Dome on the university's campus in Syracuse, New York. The stadium is also known as "The Loud House." Formed in 1889, the program has amassed over 740 wins and has achieved one consensus national championship in 1959, defeating the Texas Longhorns in that season's Cotton Bowl.
