Ivan Savenko
Ivan Grigorievich Savenko (russian: Ива́н Григо́рьевич Саве́нко; January 17, 1924, Varvarovka, Chernigov Province, Ukrainian SSR, USSR – 1987, Leningrad, USSR) was a Soviet painter, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, lived and worked in Leningrad, regarded as one of representatives of the Leningrad school of painting, most famous for his landscape paintings. Biography Ivan Savenko was born January 17, 1924, in Varvarovka village, Chernigov Province, Ukraine, USSR. He was a veteran of World War II, was wounded and lost his right hand, he had many military orders. In 1950, Savenko graduated from Kiev Art Institute in Grigory Svetlitsky personal art studio. In 1950–1954, Savenko studied as post-graduate student in Ilya Repin Institute in Aleksandr Gerasimov art studio. Master of Art-criticism (1954). Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1975). Nizhyn Raion
Nizhyn Raion ( uk, Ніжинський район) is a raion (district) of Chernihiv Oblast, northern Ukraine. Its administrative centre is located at Nizhyn. Population: On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Chernihiv Oblast was reduced to five, and the area of Nizhyn Raion was significantly expanded. Four abolished raions, Bakhmach, Bobrovytsia, Borzna, and Nosivka Raions, as well as the city of Nizhyn, which was previously incorporated as a city of oblast significance and did not belong to the raion, were merged into Nizhyn Raion. The State Russian Museum (russian: Государственный Русский музей), formerly the Russian Museum of His Imperial Majesty Alexander III (russian: Русский Музей Императора Александра III), on Arts Square in Saint Petersburg, is the world's largest depository of Russian fine art. It is also one of the largest art museums in the world with total area over 30 hectares. In 2021 it attracted 2,260,231 visitors, ranking second on list of most-visited art museums in the world.
