Cedric Itten
Cedric Jan Itten (born 27 December 1996) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a centre forward for Swiss club Young Boys and the Switzerland national team. Club career Youth football Itten started his youth football with FC Black Stars Basel in 2003, before moving to BSC Old Boys a year later. In February 2007 he moved on to the youth department of Basel and played in their U-18 team and their U-21 team. Itten was a part of FC Basel's 2013–14 UEFA Youth League campaign. Basel Itten signed a three-year junior professional contract on 21 August 2015 and joined Basel's first team for their 2015–16 season under head coach Urs Fischer. After playing in two test games, Itten played his domestic league debut for the club in the home game in the St. Jakob-Park on 21 February 2016 as Basel won 5–1 against Vaduz. Johannes Itten
Johannes Itten (11 November 1888 – 25 March 1967) was a Swiss expressionist painter, designer, teacher, writer and theorist associated with the Bauhaus (''Staatliches Bauhaus'') school. Together with German-American painter Lyonel Feininger and German sculptor Gerhard Marcks, under the direction of German architect Walter Gropius, Itten was part of the core of the Weimar Bauhaus. Life and work He was born in Südern-Linden, Switzerland. From 1904 to 1908 he trained as an elementary school teacher. Beginning in 1908 he taught using methods developed by the creator of the kindergarten concept, Friedrich Fröbel, and was exposed to the ideas of psychoanalysis. In 1909 he enrolled at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva but was unimpressed with the educators there, and returned to Bern.
