Italian Pirate Party
The Italian Pirate Party ( it, Partito Pirata Italiano, PPIT) is a list of political parties in Italy, political party in Italy, founded on 16 September 2006, modelled on the Pirate Party of Sweden, founded earlier that year. It supports reform of copyright and patent law, privacy and freedom of expression. The party was a founding member of Pirate Parties International and of European Pirate Party. In December 2007 the Pirate Party published its first number of the newspaper "PiratPartiet Diritti digitali" under Creative Commons license. Pirate Party is a label adopted by political parties around the world. Pirate parties support civil rights, direct democracy (including e-democracy) or alternatively participation in government, reform of copyright and patent law, free sharing of knowledge ( open content), information privacy, transparency, freedom of information, free speech, anti-corruption and net neutrality. Citizenship
Citizenship is a "relationship between an individual and a state to which the individual owes allegiance and in turn is entitled to its protection". 2013 Italian Local Elections
The 2013 Italian local elections were held on different dates; most on 26–27 May, with a second round on 9–10 June. In Italy, direct elections were held in 720 municipalities: in each municipality (''comune'') were chosen mayor and members of the City Council. Of the 720 municipalities, 20 were provincial capitals and only 171 had a population higher than 15,000 inhabitants (10,000 for Sicily). In Friuli-Venezia Giulia the elections were held on 21–22 April with a second ballot on 5–6 May; all of 13 municipalities of the region voted for a new mayor and a new City Council concurrently with the Regional elections. The Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol provincial elections of 2013 took place on 27 October 2013. Trentino Centre-left primary election A primary election to determine the candidate for President of the centre-left autonomist coalition were held on 13 July 2013. The winner was Ugo Rossi of the Trentino Tyrolean Autonomist Party. 2013 Lazio Regional Election
The Lazio regional election of 2013 took place in Lazio, Italy, on 24–25 February 2013. Renata Polverini of The People of Freedom (PdL), who was elected president in 2010, was toppled by an expense scandal in October 2012 which led to her resignation. After that, the candidate of Democratic Party (PD) seemed a shoo-in for victory.
