Investigator Shoal
Investigator Shoal, also known as ms, Terumbu Peninjau, lit=; Pawikan Shoal ( tl, Kulumpol ng Pawikan, lit=Cluster of Sea Turtle); vi, bãi Thám Hiểm; Mandarin , is located in the SW of Dangerous Ground in the Spratly Islands of the South China Sea. It is an atoll above water at low tide; some large rocks at the western end might be visible at high water. The atoll has a total length of and is up to 10.6 km wide. The total area of the atoll is . The lagoon is up to 45 meters deep. It is one of the areas in the Spratly Islands occupied by Malaysia. Wikimapia is a geographic online encyclopedia project. The project implements an interactive "clickable" web map that utilizes Google Maps with a geographically-referenced wiki system, with the aim to mark and describe all geographical objects in the world. Wikimapia was created by Alexandre Koriakine and Evgeniy Saveliev in May 2006. The data, a crowdsourced collection of places marked by registered users and guests, has grown to just under 28,000,000 objects , and is released under the Creative Commons License Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA). Dangerous Ground is a large area in the southeast part of the South China Sea characterized by many low islands and cays, sunken reefs, and atolls awash, with reefs often rising abruptly from ocean depths greater than 1000m. There are few precise definitions, but Dangerous Ground corresponds roughly to the seas around the eastern half of the Spratly Islands. Cijin District (; Hokkien POJ: ''Kî-tin-khu'') is a district of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, covering Cijin Island () and islands in the South China Sea.
