International Radio Of Serbia
The International Radio of Serbia ( sr, Међународни радио Србија), formerly Radio Yugoslavia was the official international broadcasting station of Serbia. International Radio of Serbia used to broadcast to all parts of the world, in twelve languages: English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Arabic, Albanian, Greek, Italian, Hungarian, Chinese and Serbian. According to reports, the service closed on July 31, 2015, after 79 years of broadcasting. History Broadcasting of the programmes for foreign countries from this region started on March 8, 1936, in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. An immediate reason for the establishment of a shortwave radio service was the need to confront fascist propaganda. Radio Network
There are two types of radio network currently in use around the world: the one-to-many (simplex communication) broadcast network commonly used for public information and mass media, mass-media entertainment, and the two-way radio (Duplex (telecommunications), duplex communication) type used more commonly for public safety and public services such as police, fire, taxicabs, and delivery services. Serbian Language
Serbian (, ) is the standardized variety of the Serbo-Croatian language mainly used by Serbs. It is the official and national language of Serbia, one of the three official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina and co-official in Montenegro and Kosovo. It is a recognized minority language in Croatia, North Macedonia, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. Standard Serbian is based on the most widespread dialect of Serbo-Croatian, Shtokavian (more specifically on the dialects of Šumadija-Vojvodina and Eastern Herzegovina), which is also the basis of standard Croatian, Bosnian, and Montenegrin varieties and therefore the Declaration on the Common Language of Croats, Bosniaks, Serbs, and Montenegrins was issued in 2017.
