Interior Ministry Of Egypt
The Ministry of Interior of Egypt is a part of the Cabinet of Egypt. It is responsible for law enforcement in Egypt. The Ministry of Interior directs the Central Security Forces, around 410,000 in 2012; the National Police, around 500,000; and the Egyptian Homeland security, around 200,000 strong. The Egyptian Border Guard Corps were organised in border guard regiments totaling approximately 25,000 members. They are a lightly armed paramilitary force, mostly Bedouins, responsible for border surveillance, general peacekeeping, drug interdiction, and prevention of smuggling. During the late 1980s, the force was equipped with remote sensors and night-vision binoculars. High-speed motorboats are also in service. Politics Of Egypt
The politics of Egypt are based on republicanism, with a semi-presidential system of government. The current political system was established following the 2013 Egyptian military coup d'état, and the takeover of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. In the current system, the President is elected for a six-year term. He can appoint up to 5 percent of the parliament. Furthermore, the President has the power to dissolve Parliament through Article 137. The Parliament of Egypt is the oldest legislative chamber in Africa and the Middle East. The unicameral Parliament has the ability to impeach the President through Article 161. With 2020 elections to the new Senate, the chamber became bicameral. Zakaria Mohieddin
Zakaria Mohieddin (5 July 1918 – 15 May 2012) ( ar, زكريا محيي الدين, ) was an Egyptian military officer, politician, Prime Minister of Egypt and head of the first Intelligence body in Egypt, the Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate. Overview Mohieddin attended the Military College in 1938 and was a Staff College graduate in 1948. He was the professional army professor of tactics in the Officers Military College from 1940 to 1943 and again from 1950 to 1951. He was also the professor of tactics in the Officers Staff College from 1951 to 1952. Ahmed Gamal El Din
Ahmed Gamal El Din (born 11 November 1952) is a retired police general and Egypt's former minister of interior. He served in the Qandil cabinet. Early life and education El Din was born on 11 November 1952 in Gharbiya Province, Egypt. Abdel Ahad Gamal El Din, who was one of the major members of the National Democratic Party (NDP) during the Mubarak era, is his uncle. More specifically, elder El Din served as the parliamentary majority leader of the ruling NDP during the 2000s. El Din graduated from the Police Academy in 1974. Mohamed Youssef Ibrahim
Mohamed Youssef Ibrahim ( ar, محمد يوسف إبراهيم; born 23 January 1947) is a former minister of interior in the Egyptian Government. Retired from the ministry in 2007, Ibrahim was appointed on 7 December 2011 by Kamal Ganzouri, then prime minister of Egypt. Habib El-Adly
Habib Ibrahim El-Adly ( ar, حبيب إبراهيم العادلي, ; born 1 March 1938) is a former Egyptian politician. He served as interior minister of Egypt from November 1997 to January 2011. He was the longest serving interior minister under President Hosni Mubarak. Following the 2011 Egyptian revolution, Adly was convicted of corruption and conspiring to kill protestors and was sentenced to life in prison. This conviction was later dropped. Hassan Al Alfi
Hassan Al Alfi ( ar, حسن الألفي; 3 March 1936 – 3 November 2021) was an Egyptian police major and politician, who served as governor and interior minister of Egypt from 1993 to 1997. He resigned from office following the Luxor massacre. Career Alfi was the governor of Asyut province until 18 April 1993. Ahmed Rushdi (1924 – 4 July 2013) was an Egyptian lieutenant general and interior minister who was in office from July 1984 to 27 February 1986. Hassan Abu Basha ( ar, حسن أبو باشا; 2 December 1922 – 18 September 2005) was a major general and one of the former ministers of interior of Egypt who was in office for two years from January 1982 to July 1984.
