Infamous (comics)
''Infamous'' is a 2011 superhero comic book series based on the video game of the same name published by DC Comics in association with Sucker Punch Productions (the developer of the game). The comic book followed the adventure of superhero, Cole MacGrath, and takes place in between the events of ''Infamous'' and ''Infamous 2''. The comic primarily depicts Cole's escape from Empire City in the first game to New Marais in the second game. The comic features illustrations by Eric Nguyen as well as a cover art by Doug Mahnke with the story written by William Harms. The first issue of the six-part comic series was released in March 2011. Doug Mahnke
Douglas Mahnke () is an American comic book artist, known for his work and penciling books including ''The Mask'', '' JLA'', ''Batman'', ''Final Crisis'', and '' Green Lantern''. Career Mahnke's first prominent work was for ''The Mask'', and he has since worked for DC Comics on '' JLA'', ''Batman'' with writer Judd Winick, and '' Seven Soldiers: Frankenstein'' with Grant Morrison. Mahnke's work on ''Batman'' included the story " Under the Hood", which detailed how the previously deceased second Robin, Jason Todd, was alive and actively working against Batman's interests as the Red Hood. ''Infamous 2'' (stylized as ''inFAMOUS 2'') is an action-adventure video game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation 3 video game console. It is a sequel to the 2009 video game '' Infamous''. Announced on June 4, 2010, the game was released on June 7, 2011. The story follows protagonist Cole MacGrath on his quest in New Marais to grow powerful enough to be able to face his nemesis, the Beast. Cole possesses electricity-based superpowers which are used in combat and navigating the city. The player is given several opportunities to use these powers for good or selfish purposes in the game's Karma system. The Karma system affects what powers become available, the reaction of the city's populace towards Cole, and the story. No man's land is waste or unowned land or an uninhabited or desolate area that may be under dispute between parties who leave it unoccupied out of fear or uncertainty. The term was originally used to define a contested territory or a dumping ground for refuse between fiefdoms.
