Indiana House Of Representatives
The Indiana House of Representatives is the lower house of the Indiana General Assembly, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Indiana. The House is composed of 100 members representing an equal number of constituent districts. House members serve two-year terms without term limits. According to the 2010 U.S. Census, each State House district contains an average of 64,838 people. The House convenes at the Indiana Statehouse in Indianapolis. Terms and qualifications In order to run for a seat for the Indiana House of Representatives one must be a citizen of the United States, has to be at least 21 years of age upon taking office, and should reside in the state of Indiana for 2 years and in the district to represent for at least 1 year at the time of the election. Terri Jo Austin is an American educator and politician from Indiana. Austin is a Democratic member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing the 36th District since January 2003. Early life On May 17, 1955, Austin was born in Elwood, Indiana. Education In 1977, Austin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University. In 1981, Austin earned a MAE degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University. In 1996, Austin earned an Educational Administration and Supervision Certificate from Butler University. Indiana General Assembly
The Indiana General Assembly is the state legislature, or legislative branch, of the state of Indiana. It is a bicameral legislature that consists of a lower house, the Indiana House of Representatives, and an upper house, the Indiana Senate. The General Assembly meets annually at the Indiana Statehouse in Indianapolis. Members of the General Assembly are elected from districts that are realigned every ten years. Representatives serve terms of two years and senators serve terms of four years. Both houses can create bills, but bills must pass both houses before it can be submitted to the governor and enacted into law. The 2022 elections for the Indiana House of Representatives took place on Tuesday November 8, 2022, to elect representatives from all 100 Representative districts in the Indiana House of Representatives. Cherrish Pryor is an American politician from Indianapolis, Indiana. She is a Democratic member of the Indiana House of Representatives, representing the 94th District since 2008. Brownsburg, Indiana
Brownsburg is a town in Hendricks County, Indiana, United States. The population was recorded to be 21,285 residents at the 2010 Census, an increase from the 14,520 residents in 2000. the estimated population was recorded to be 27,001 residents. History Brownsburg was first settled in 1824 by James B. Brown. When he arrived, the area was a dense, unbroken stretch of wilderness. Delaware Indians lived in what is now called Lincoln Township, along White Lick Creek, which was then called "Wa-pe-ke-way" or "White Salt". Fishers is a city in Fall Creek and Delaware townships, Hamilton County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census the population was 76,794, and by 2019 the estimated population was 95,310.
