The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is a role associated with the South Australian Office of Public Integrity. It was established by the Government of South Australia in 2013. The Commissioner is Ann Vanstone , a former justice of the Supreme Court of South Australia. Bruce Lander was the first person appointed to the role in 2013. Lander's term in office expired on 1 September 2020 and he was replaced by Ann Vanstone . History In April 2014, it was reported that ICAC had received 752 complaints during its first eight months of operation. 43 claims of possible corruption were being investigated at this time. In October 2014, it was reported that ICAC had opened 70 investigations during its first 12 months. The Independent Commissioner Against Corruption (ICAC) is the head of the Office of the Independent Commissioner Against Corruption, an agency of the Northern Territory Government with responsibility for investigating corruption in the Territory public sector. Since July 2021, this position has been led by Michael Riches. The Commissioner operates under the ''Independent Commissioner Against Corruption Act 2017'' (NT). The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is an agency of the Government of New South Wales responsible for eliminating and investigating corrupt activities and enhancing the integrity of the state's public administration. The Commission was established in 1989, pursuant to the , modeled after the ICAC in Hong Kong. It is led by a Chief Commissioner appointed for a fixed five-year term; and two part-time Commissioners.
