In-Flight Safety
In-Flight Safety is a Canadian indie rock band formed in 2003. In-Flight Safety was nominated for a 2007 Juno Award for Video of the Year for "Coast Is Clear". They are currently based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The group consists of vocalist and guitarist John Mullane, drummer Glen Nicholson and is rounded out by friends who appear in the live show. In-Flight Safety released their second full-length album '' We Are an Empire, My Dear'' 27 January 2009 in Canada on their own label Night Danger. The band released their third full-length album, Conversationalist (mixed by Gus Van Go) on 9 September 2014. History The group met while undergrad students at Mount Allison University, in Sackville. Sackville, New Brunswick
Sackville is a town in southeastern New Brunswick, Canada. It is home to Mount Allison University, a primarily undergraduate liberal arts university. Historically based on agriculture, shipbuilding, and manufacturing, the economy is now driven by the university and tourism. Initially part of the French colony of Acadia, the settlement became part of the British colony of Nova Scotia in 1755 following the Expulsion of the Acadians. Drew Lightfoot
Drew Lightfoot is a Canadian director working in film, TV, commercials and music videos. He has also worked as an animator, and continues to use animation as a director, sometimes using stop-motion and CGI in his commercials and videos. Film In 2016, Lightfoot directed Horizon, a 9K 22 minute 360 degree film for domes and VR celebrating 150 years of Canadian Confederation. Horizon filmed in every province and Territory in Canada capturing the spirit of Canada in unexpected places around the country. Young Galaxy is a Canadian indie pop/dream pop band formed in 2005 in Vancouver, whose members are husband and wife, Stephen Ramsay and Catherine McCandless. History Young Galaxy formed in Vancouver as a duo including Stephen Ramsay and Catherine McCandless. Through that summer of 2005 and the spring of 2006 they recorded with appearances and contributions of friends at Jace Lasek's Breakglass Studio. Raising The Fawn
Raising the Fawn is a Canadian indie rock band, with its roots in Toronto. The band is composed of John Crossingham (who is also a member of Broken Social Scene), Scott Remila and Dylan Green (who are both members of City and Colour). History Raising the Fawn was formed by Crossingham, in 1997 as a solo recording project, but soon was joined by Remilla. They released their self-titled first album in 2001. The group grew to four members with the addition of singer Julie Booth and drummer Jon Drew. The EP ''By the Warmth of Your Flame'' came out in 2003. 2004's ''The North Sea'', recorded two years earlier, contained lively, rhythmic arrangements.
