Impossible Engineering
''Impossible Engineering'' is a television series produced for Discovery, Inc., Discovery's Science Channel in the US., UKTV's Yesterday (TV channel), Yesterday in the UK, RMC Découverte, RMC Decouverte in France, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Societe Radio-Canada's Ici Explora in Canada, Sveriges Television, SVT in Sweden, Discovery Italy in Italy as well as with other broadcasters around the world. The first episode was released in April 2015. Each episode focuses on one modern-day engineering achievement, with historical segments about the engineering pioneers who helped pave the way for present-day engineers. Each one-hour-long programme details how giant structures, record-beating buildings, and the world's most cutting-edge ships, trains, and planes are built and work using 3D graphics, archives, and specially shot footage. Rail transport (also known as train transport) is a means of transport that transfers passengers and goods on wheeled vehicles running on rails, which are incorporated in tracks. Gravity Dam
A gravity dam is a dam constructed from concrete or stone masonry and designed to hold back water by using only the weight of the material and its resistance against the foundation to oppose the horizontal pressure of water pushing against it. Gravity dams are designed so that each section of the dam is stable and independent of any other dam section. Characteristics Gravity dams generally require stiff rock foundations of high bearing strength (slightly weathered to fresh), although in rare cases, they have been built on soil foundations. The bearing strength of the foundation limits the allowable position of the resultant force, influencing the overall stability. Also, the stiff nature of the gravity dam structure is unforgiving to differential foundation settlement, which can induce cracking of the dam structure. Three Gorges Dam
The Three Gorges Dam is a hydroelectric gravity dam that spans the Yangtze River by the town of Sandouping, in Yiling District, Yichang, Hubei province, central China, downstream of the Three Gorges. The Three Gorges Dam has been the world's largest power station in terms of installed capacity (22,500  MW) since 2012. Orion (officially Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle or Orion MPCV) is a partially reusable crewed spacecraft used in NASA's Artemis program.
