The first season of Sweden's ''Idol'' premiered in August 2004 and continued until its grand finale on 26 November, when 26-year-old Daniel Lindström from Umeå was crowned winner. Auditions Auditions were held in the Swedish cities of Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, Umeå and Karlstad during the spring of 2004. Daniel Breitholtz
Daniel Breitholtz, born 18 October 1977, is a former A&R-Management, manager at Sony BMG. Together with voice coach Kishti Tomita, manager and talent scout Peter Swartling and Record producer, producer, musician and disc jockey Claes af Geijerstam he was part of the Idol 2004, Idol 2005, Idol 2006 and Idol 2007 jury. Breitholtz has a history with artists like Whitney Houston, Westlife, Outkast and Toni Braxton. Breitholtz has also been a publisher for some of the most successful songwriters, who have written music for Celine Dion, Britney Spears, Westlife and Christina Aguilera among others. Alingsås () is a locality and the seat of Alingsås Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 24,482 inhabitants in 2010. Geography Geographically the city is situated by the outlet of the small rivulet Säveån into lake Mjörn. Westlife is an Irish pop vocal group formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1998. The group currently consists of members Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, and Nicky Byrne.
