INS Vajrakosh
INS Vajrakosh is a missile and ammunition base of the Indian Navy at Karwar, Karnataka and is the third naval establishment. It was commissioned on 9 September 2015 by the Defence Minister of India, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Mr. Manohar Parrikar. Objective ''INS Vajrakosh'' serves as a special storage facility for specialized armaments, missiles, ammunition on the Western Sea Board. It is also reportedly able to equip warships and airplanes with ammunition and has an infrastructure providing specialized servicing facilities, for sophisticated missiles and ammunition.  The commissioning of INS Vajrakosh was believed to allow the Indian Navy to further bolster the offensive and defensive capabilities of its platforms. Karwar
Karwar is a seaside city, ''taluka'', and administrative headquarters of Uttara Kannada district lying at the mouth of the Kali river on the Kanara coast of Karnataka state, India. Karwar is a popular tourist destination and with a city urban area of , It is known for their beaches and green tourism. Etymology Karwar, also known locally as "Kādwād", derived its name from the nearby village of "Kade-Wādā". In the local Konkani language, ''Kade'' means "last" and ''Wādā'' means "precinct". Hence, ''Kade-Wādā'' ("the last neighbourhood") referred to the southernmost Konkani-speaking village. During the Crown rule in India, the name "Karwar" was spelt as "Carwar". The ancient name was "Baithkhol"—from an Arabic term ''Bait-e-kol''— meaning the "bay of safety".
