Ivars Ijabs
Ivars Ijabs (born 17 November 1972) is a Latvian political scientist and politician. He is a lecturer and professor at the University of Latvia and holds a PhD in political science. In May 2019, representing political alliance Development/For!, he was elected as a Member of the European Parliament. He then joined Renew Europe Group. Early life and career Ijabs was born in Riga, where he also spent most of his childhood and teenage years. In 1996 he graduated from the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and obtained his first bachelor's degree in arts. Ivars Punnenovs (born May 30, 1994) is a Latvian professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Lausanne HC of the National League (NL). Playing career Punnenovs began his career in 2013–14 as the backup goalie of Rapperswil-Jona Lakers behind David Aebischer. He made his National League A debut on September 27, 2013. Biography

In 1969 Kalviņš graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Latvia, and in 1985 defended a habilitation at the Saint Petersburg State University. Since 1986 he works at the Riga Institute of Organic Synthesis, which he headed in 2003–2014. Earlier between 1994 and 2000 he served as President of the Latvian Society of Chemistry. Kalviņš was involved in the synthesis of several drugs, including meldonium, leakadin, neramexane, and belinostat.
