Ivan And Alyosha
Ivan & Alyosha is an American indie rock band from Seattle, formed in 2007 by Tim Wilson and Ryan Carbary. They were later joined by Pete Wilson (Tim's brother) and Tim Kim and added Cole Mauro to complete the group. In 2009 the band was recognized nationally by NPR during coverage of SXSW. Ivan & Alyosha's songs are represented by Downtown Music Publishing. Background Ivan & Alyosha was formed by Tim Wilson and Ryan Carbary in 2007. The two met while working on other projects and soon found themselves working exclusively with each other. Together they decided to go into the studio to record. Their first release was an extended play, "The Verse, the Chorus," produced by Eli Thomson in Los Angeles, California. At the time the band did not have a name, but during a discussion about the nameless project Eli Thompson suggested "Ivan and Alyosha" from ''The Brothers Karamazov''. ''All the Times We Had'' is the first full-length album by the band Ivan & Alyosha, released on February 26, 2013, by Missing Piece Records, under license to Dualtone Records. It had originally been set to debut in August 2012. The album was generally well-received and sold more than 11,000 copies. In June 2012, ''The Cabin Sessions'' EP, a special preview of the album featuring demo versions of "Be Your Man", "Don't Wanna Die Anymore", "On My Way", and "The Fold", was released, as was a single of the title track, which features harmony vocals by Aimee Mann. "Running for Cover" and "Easy to Love" were released as singles in December 2012 and January 2013, respectively. Bob Dylan (legally Robert Dylan, born Robert Allen Zimmerman, May 24, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter. The Lone Bellow
The Lone Bellow is an American musical group from Brooklyn, New York City. History The Lone Bellow began as a songwriting project for Zach Williams, whose wife had suffered temporary paralysis following a horseback riding accident. During his wife's recovery, Williams coped with the experience by writing in a journal. At the urging of his friends, Williams learned how to play the guitar and turned his journal entries into songs. Following his wife's recovery, the couple moved to New York City. Previously, Williams had been performing as a solo act around Brooklyn and New York City, occasionally being backed by a hired band. John Vanderslice (born May 22, 1967 in Gainesville, Florida) is an American musician, songwriter, record producer, and recording engineer. He is the owner and founder of Tiny Telephone, an analog recording studio with locations in San Francisco Mission District and North Oakland. He released 10 full-length albums and 5 remix records and EPs on Dead Oceans and Barsuk Records and has collaborated with musicians such as The Mountain Goats, St. Vincent, and Spoon. Aimee Elizabeth Mann (born September 8, 1960) is an American singer-songwriter. Over the course of four decades, she has released more than a dozen albums as a solo artist and with other musicians. She is noted for her sardonic and literate lyrics about dark subjects. Her work with the producer Jon Brion in the 1990s was influential on American alternative music. Mann was born in Richmond, Virginia, and studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
