''Islanders'' is the third studio album by German EDM (Electronic Dance Music) act York (group), York. The album was in production for two years and collaborations internationally renowned artists such as Mike Oldfield, Jennifer Paige and The Thrillseekers. Furthermore, the album contains a cover version of the Hans Zimmer Mission: Impossible 2 (soundtrack), ''Mission: Impossible 2'' soundtrack piece "Injection", featuring the original vocalist, Lisa Gerrard. The following year York worked with Oldfield on an album of reworkings of Oldfield's work, ''Tubular Beats''. Track listing External links

York (group)
YORK is a German electronic music duo, founded in 1997 by musicians and brothers Torsten and Jörg Stenzel. Producing ambient, downtempo, chillout, house and trance, their productions are known for catchy guitar hooks, atmospheric soundscapes and delicate dance textures. Career Torsten Stenzel began his musical career early in his childhood, learning the piano from the age of five when he began his classical training. In the early 1990s his musical orientation changed, and he discovered the growing techno/house movement. He built his own recording studio. Torsten Stenzel is credited for several gold and platinum awards, an 'Echo' nomination and over three million record sales. Jörg Stenzel has, since the age of eleven, been interested in stringed instruments, the guitar in particular. The two brothers combined their talents in 1997 and project YORK was born. Trance is a genre of electronic dance music that emerged from Electronic body music, EBM in Frankfurt, Germany, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and quickly spread throughout Europe. Downtempo
Downtempo (or downbeat) is a broad label for electronic music that features an atmospheric sound and slower beats than would typically be found in dance music. Closely related to ambient music but with greater emphasis on rhythm, the style may be played in relaxation clubs or as "warm-up or cool-down" music during a DJ set. Examples of downtempo subgenres include trip hop, ambient house, chillwave, psybient and lo-fi hip hop, lofi hip hop. The style emerged in the late 1980s with the UK's Bristol sound, Bristol scene that birthed artists like Massive Attack, Portishead (band), Portishead, and Tricky (musician), Tricky. Armada Music is a Dutch independent record label that specialises in releasing electronic dance music. Armada Music was founded on 1 June 2003 by Dutch producer Armin van Buuren, Dutch business executive Maykel Piron, and music manager David Lewis. Torsten Stenzel
Torsten Stenzel is a German music producer, composer and Honorary Consulate of Germany. Classically trained from an early age his roots are within the field of Electronic dance music, Electronic Dance Music. His interest for music first started at age five when he received piano lessons by academic piano teacher Andre Terebesi. He is the father of multi-platinum international recording artist Au/Ra. Age 13, Stenzel began his training on church organ and received his church organist diploma age 15. Graduating from the Protestant church in Frankfurt. Tubular Beats
''Tubular Beats'' is a remix album containing collaborations between Mike Oldfield and York (Torsten Stenzel), that was released on 1 February 2013. Unlike previous club mixes, the album is a true two-sided collaboration between Oldfield and Stenzel, making use of parts from the original multitrack tapes as well as new parts played by Oldfield. Tarja Turunen appears on the track "Never Too Far". It was released on the independent Edel label in Germany even though Oldfield is currently signed to the major label of Universal/ Mercury. The album cover shows Oldfield's trademark ''Tubular Bells'' logo in blue/black on a white background. A promo video for "Guilty 2013" was released by earMusic, which contains a shortened version of "Guilty Electrofunk Mix". In 2011 Moist Creations had released a screenshot from this titled "Guilty 2011". Michael Gordon Oldfield (born 15 May 1953) is an English retired musician, songwriter and producer best known for his debut studio album ''Tubular Bells'' (1973), which became an unexpected critical and commercial success. Steve Helstrip, known by the stage name the Thrillseekers, is an English DJ and record producer. His debut single was "Synaesthesia", released in 1999. Helstrip has worked under the guises of En Motion, Insigma, Rapid Eye and Hydra. He also works in remixing, having remixed work by Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Timo Maas, Sonique (musician), Sonique, Chicane (recording artist), Chicane, Blank & Jones, and Seb Fontaine.
