''Iridescent'' is the fourth studio album by American metalcore band Silent Planet. The album was released on November 12, 2021, through UNFD and Solid State Records. It was co-produced by Drew Fulk, Daniel Braunstein and guitarist Mitchell Stark. Background and promotion On February 14, 2020, the band released "Trilogy", a single that focuses and revolves around vocalist Garrett Russell's stay in a mental hospital in which he wrote the lyrics in one sitting. On March 23, 2021, band members officially announced the album was completed. On April 9, after unveiling some artworks the prior couple days, they announced during the global COVID-19 pandemic a surprise collaboration with Fit for a King. The collaboration included both bands' vocalists being featured on reworked version of their recent tracks and both bands will also release a limited merch line to promote the collaboration. Silent Planet is an American metalcore band formed in Azusa, California, in 2009. Their name is derived from C. S. Lewis' science fiction novel ''Out of the Silent Planet''. The group consists of vocalist Garrett Russell, guitarist Mitchell Stark, bassist Thomas Freckleton and drummer Alex Camarena. They are currently signed to Solid State Records and have released four studio albums. Their latest studio album, ''Iridescent'', was released on November 12, 2021. Liner notes (also sleeve notes or album notes) are the writings found on the record sleeve, sleeves of LP record albums and in booklets that come inserted into the compact disc jewel case or the equivalent packaging for cassettes. As Cities Burn is an American post-hardcore band from Mandeville, Louisiana, that formed in 2002 and has released four studio albums. Their debut, '' Son, I Loved You at Your Darkest'', was released in 2005. Two years later, they released '' Come Now Sleep''. Then, in 2009, As Cities Burn released their third album, '' Hell or High Water''. Oh, Sleeper is an American metalcore band from Fort Worth, Texas that formed in 2006 with former members of Terminal. In over a decade's span, Oh, Sleeper has released four full-length albums, two EPs, and toured worldwide as an opening act.
