Ioannis Agravanis
Ioannis "Giannis" Agravanis (Greek: Ιωάννης "Γιάννης" Αγραβάνης; born November 13, 1998) is a Greek professional basketball player for Karditsa of the Greek Basket League. At a height of 1.98 m (6 ft 6 in) tall, he plays at the small forward position. Youth career Agravanis played from a young age with the youth teams of Doukas, before he started his pro career. Professional career Agravanis began his pro career in the 2016–17 season, with the Greek 2nd Division club Doukas. On August 9, 2017, Agravanis moved to AEK Athens of the top-tier level Greek League. He signed a three-year contract with AEK, with the option to sign with the club for an additional two years. With AEK, he also won the Greek Cup title, in 2018. Dimitrios Agravanis (alternate spelling: Dimitris) ( el, Δημήτρης Αγραβάνης; born December 20, 1994) is a Greek professional basketball player for Panathinaikos of the Greek Basket League and the EuroLeague. He is a tall power forward, who can also play as a center. Early life Agravanis was born on December 20, 1994, in the Maroussi suburb of Athens, Greece. His basketball journey started at age nine, when his father set up a basket at their home. Playing basketball soon became Dimitris' favorite pastime. The 2018–19 Greek betshop.gr Basket League was the 79th season of the Greek Basket League, the top-tier level professional club basketball league in Greece. The season started on 7 October 2018, and ended on 15 June 2019. Panathinaikos OPAP won the Greek Basket League championship for a record 37th time, after beating Promitheas Patras 3–0 in the Finals. The season infamously featured a major feud between traditional rivals Panathinaikos and Olympiacos over refereeing decisions in the 2019 Greek Cup semifinals game between the two teams, which eventually culminated in Olympiacos also forfeiting their playoffs. In sports, a loan involves a particular player being able to temporarily play for a club other than the one to which they are currently contracted. Loan deals may last from a few weeks to a full season, sometimes persisting for multiple seasons at a time.
