Intro5pect
Intro5pect is an American political electropunk band from Southern California. The band was officially formed in 1997 as a reaction to the apparent commercialization of the punk genre. Their first demo was released in 1998 and their first official release came in 1999 when newly founded indie label Geykido Comet Records released the band's song "Education" as a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl. In 2002 the band signed to Anti-Flag's label A-F Records, which released their self-titled full-length album in the spring of 2003. In June 2007, Intro5pect toured the United Kingdom and Mainland Europe. Around this time the band's new demo "War At Home" was spot-played several times by BBC Radio 1 DJ Mike Davies on his punk rock show 'The Lockup'. On October 16, 2007, the EP ''Realpolitik'' was released, featuring Stza from Leftöver Crack on vocals. A-F Records
A-F Records was an American independent record label founded by punk rock band Anti-Flag – namely the band's drummer Pat Thetic, their rhythm guitarist Chris Head, and their lead vocalist Justin Sane – and based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was created to help expose more political punk bands to a larger audience. History The band founded the label in 1997 so they could release their 1998 compilation album '' Their System Doesn't Work for You''. The compilation was the first official release under the label as well. Following the release of their own compilation, the band approached the Pittsburgh-based band Reagan Squad and the Boston-based band The Unseen, both of whom they believed to be "socially conscious," and the two bands released their own full-length LPs through A-F Records. Leftöver Crack
Leftöver Crack is an American punk rock band formed in 1998, following the breakup of Choking Victim. The band is currently signed to Tankcrimes for CD releases, and Alternative Tentacles for vinyl releases. Leftöver Crack spans several different music genres including hardcore punk, ska, and crust punk. They write mostly political lyrics of a Far-left politics, radical leftist nature, opposing religion, capitalism, and authority. Members of Leftöver Crack reside in the C-Squat on 155 Avenue C (Manhattan), Avenue C on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Natives of New York City, band members have a well-documented history of back-and-forth conflict with the NYPD which precedes the band's formation. Scott Sturgeon, also known as Stza Crack or simply Stza ( ; born March 4, 1976), is an American musician and artist who has fronted several ska-punk bands in the New York City area, the best-known being Choking Victim and Leftöver Crack. The stage name Stza is a tribute to the Wu-Tang Clan, members of which would take their stage names from the Supreme Alphabet of the Five-Percent Nation, such as GZA (God ZigZagZig Allah) and RZA (Ruler ZigZagZig Allah) - Stza's name would therefore be ''Self Truth ZigZagZig Allah''. Early life Stza was raised in New York by his mother, who he classified as an "over-protective Jewish mom". He rarely saw his biological father, and his stepfather died by suicide. Maida Vale Studios is a complex of seven BBC sound studios, of which five are in regular use, in Delaware Road, Maida Vale, west London. It has been used to record thousands of classical music, popular music and drama sessions for BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 6 Music from 1946 to the present. On 30 October 2009, BBC Radio 1 celebrated ''75 Years of Maida Vale'' by exclusively playing 75 tracks recorded at the studios over the years. The White Rabbit is a fictional and anthropomorphic character in Lewis Carroll's 1865 book ''Alice's Adventures in Wonderland''. Camden Underworld is a music venue in Camden Town, London, England. The venue is a part of the World's End pub, situated in the basement of the building. It has a capacity of 500 people. History Over the years The Underworld has become the heart of the alternative music scene in England.
