For Squirrels was an American alternative rock band based in Gainesville, Florida, United States, founded in 1992. Their 1995 single "Mighty K.C." became an alternative rock radio hit about three months after a touring van accident that claimed the lives of founding members Jack Vigliatura IV and Bill White, along with tour manager Tim Bender, while the band was on the cusp of national recognition. The surviving members of the band changed the name to Subrosa in 1996 before disbanding in 2001. ''Invisible Children'' is a 2006 American documentary film which depicts the human rights abuses by the Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda. Synopsis In the spring of 2003, Jason Russell, Bobby Bailey, and Laren Poole traveled to Africa to document the War in Darfur. Instead, they changed their focus to covering the conflict in northern Uganda, Africa's second longest-running conflict after the Eritrean War of Independence. The documentary depicts the abduction of children who are used as child soldiers by Joseph Kony and his Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). The film centers around a group of Ugandan children who walk miles every night to places of refuge in order to avoid abduction by the LRA. Exhibition The film was first screened on June 22, 2004 at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice at the University of San Diego. Red Molly is a folk trio consisting of Laurie MacAllister (vocals, bass), Abbie Gardner (vocals, guitar, Dobro, lap steel guitar), and Molly Venter (vocals, guitar). They perform original works composed by each of the group members as well as other songwriters, such as Hank Williams, Gillian Welch, Richard Thompson, Mark Erelli, Susan Werner, Jake Armerding, Ryan Adams and Amy Speace. Jessica Charlotte Poland (born January 15, 1988) is an American singer-songwriter, known professionally as JPOLND, Charlotte Sometimes, and Laces. Her debut album '' Waves and the Both of Us'' was released on May 6, 2008. She has released one full-length album and five EPs. In 2014, Poland retired her stage name and started a new project called LACES. Early life and education Poland was adopted by her parents, Hartson and Tracy Poland, as a baby. She was introduced to her birth mother at age 13. At age 14, Poland started playing guitar and writing songs. Around the same time, she was diagnosed with condylar resorption, a rare disease causing her jaw to essentially break apart, impairing her ability to sing. By age 16, she had undergone surgery by having two ribs extracted to "rebuild her face." She continues to have injections to treat her jaw.
