M1 Tank Platoon
''M1 Tank Platoon'' is a tactical simulator of tank warfare developed and published by MicroProse for the Amiga, Atari ST and MS-DOS in 1989. The game features a mixture of first-person, third-person tank warfare, and tactical simulation gameplay. It was followed by a sequel, '' M1 Tank Platoon II'', released by MicroProse in 1998 for Windows. ''M1 Tank Platoon'' was sold to Interplay Entertainment in 2009. M1 Tank Platoon is available on Steam and Epic Games services. Gameplay The player is put in the position of a main battle tank platoon commander in charge of four U.S. M1 Abrams tanks in a fictional campaign of battles against the Soviet Army in Central Europe. The player can give orders to friendly units via a tactical map of the battle area as well as taking control of a single tank - assuming the role of either the tank commander, driver or gunner. Ambrosia Software was a predominantly Mac (computer), Macintosh software and Mac gaming, gaming company founded in 1993 and located in Rochester, Monroe County, New York, Rochester, New York (state), New York, United States, U.S. Ambrosia Software was best known for its Macintosh remakes of older arcade games, which began with a 1992 version of Atari, Inc.'s ''Asteroids (video game), Asteroids'' from 1979. The company also published utility software. Its products were distributed as shareware; demo versions could be downloaded and used for up to 30 days. Magicland Dizzy
''Magicland Dizzy'' is a platform adventure game published in Europe in 1990 by Codemasters for the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amiga platforms. By 1992 there were also MS-DOS, Atari ST and Amstrad CPC versions available. It is the sixth game in the '' Dizzy'' series, and the fourth adventure-based Dizzy title. The story, set in a fantasy world called Magicland, follows on from the events of '' Fantasy World Dizzy'', the previous adventure title. In ''Magicland Dizzy'' the player controls Dizzy, an egg-shaped character, who is trying to save six of his friends who have been placed under spells by the Evil Wizard Zaks. The game was the first Dizzy game not to be developed entirely by Dizzy's creators, the Oliver Twins. Moerman, that suggests the existence of a previously unidentified ancient civilization that was subsequently destroyed by a natural disaster. ''Hidden Worlds: Fresh Clues to the Past'' is a rejection of Von Daniken's theories; however, Der Veer and P.Moerman concede the existence of Atlantis. ''Magic Carpet'' is a 3D flying video game developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts in 1994 for MS-DOS, PlayStation, and Sega Saturn platforms. ''The Magic Candle'' is a role-playing video game designed by James Thomas and developed and published by Mindcraft in 1992. It is a sequel to '' The Magic Candle II: The Four and Forty'' from 1991. Gameplay The notepad and party movement mechanics are improved from the previous game. Reception Scorpia of Computer Gaming World gave a negative review and summarized: "Overall, in spite of the neat blight idea, ''Magic Candle III'' is a dull game. The Magic Candle
''The Magic Candle: Volume 1'' is a role-playing video game designed by Ali Atabek and developed and published by Mindcraft in 1989. Plot Players must assemble a group of six adventurers and journey across the kingdom of Deruvia to keep the demon Dreax imprisoned in the eponymous magic candle, which has begun to melt. The game's world includes several towns and cities, two castles, and several dungeons and towers. Unlike many computer games, one wins not by defeating a final enemy, but by collecting the necessary items and learning the necessary chants in order to preserve the magic candle. Players begin with one adventurer, a human hero called Lukas. Additional adventurers can be found in the game's two castles.
