Independent Greens (Denmark)
The Independent Greens – Denmark's New Left-Wing Party (), or simply the Independent Greens () (Q), is a left-wing political party in Denmark. It was founded 7 September 2020 by four former members of The Alternative: Sikandar Siddique, Uffe Elbæk, and Susanne Zimmer, who were members of the Danish parliament, and Niko Grünfeld, member of Copenhagen City Council. The party leader is Sikandar Siddique. Elbæk was founder and leader of The Alternative from 2013 to 2020. The Independent Greens describe themselves as left wing and a "responsible, climate-conscious and anti-racist party". Shades Of White

Franciska Rosenkilde
Franciska Rosenkilde (born 19 March 1976) is a Danish geographer and politician who has been the leader of The Alternative since February 2021, replacing Josephine Fock. Alongside five other members of The Alternative, Rosenkilde was elected to the Folketing in November 2022. Education and civil career Rosenkilde has a professional bachelor's degree in health and nutrition from Metropol University College, which she studied from 2006 to 2010. In 2012, she began a master's degree in geography from the University of Copenhagen, which she completed in 2015. Rosenkilde wrote her master's thesis on food systems and climate change. Prior to her political career, she worked as a chef and as a mediator of diet and lifestyle. 2022 Danish General Election
General elections were held in the Danish Realm, Kingdom of Denmark on 1 November 2022, except in the Faroe Islands, where they were held on 31 October as 1 November was a national day of mourning for victims at sea. Of the 179 members of the Folketing, 175 were elected in Denmark proper, two in the Faroes and two in Greenland. The elections were called on 5 October following an ultimatum to the government by the Danish Social Liberal Party, Social Liberals (which had been providing external support) due to the outcome of a report on the 2020 Danish mink cull by the Mink Commission, which was critical of the government. Voter turnout was 84% in Denmark, 48% in Greenland, and 71% in the Faroes, with a combined turnout of 84% for the realm as a whole. Socialist People's Party (Denmark)
The Green Left, since March 2022 the English name for Socialistisk Folkeparti (, , abbr. SF), is a democratic socialist political party in Denmark. SF was founded on 15 February 1959 by Aksel Larsen, a former leader of the Communist Party of Denmark (DKP), who was removed for criticizing the Soviet intervention in the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. Larsen aimed to create a third way between Denmark's U.S.-oriented social democracy and Soviet-oriented communism, combining democracy with socialism. Rasmus Nordqvist
Rasmus Nordqvist (born 18 July 1975) is a Danish politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Socialist People's Party. He was elected into parliament in the 2015 Danish general election as a member of The Alternative, but changed party to the SPP in 2020. Political career Nordqvist was elected into parliament as a member of The Alternative in the 2015 election. He was reelected in 2019, but left the party shortly after - along with Uffe Elbæk, Sikandar Siddique and Susanne Zimmer. The three other former Alternative members went on to found a new party, the Independent Greens, while Nordqvist instead remained independent for two months before joining the Socialist People's Party. ''Information'' (), full name: ''Dagbladet Information'' (), is a Danish newspaper published Monday through Saturday. History and profile ''Dagbladet Information'' was established and published by the Danish resistance movement in 1943 during World War II. The paper was edited by Børge Outze and was illegal during the war as it was not regulated by the German occupying power. Following the liberation on 5 May 1945 ''Dagbladet Information'' was a reality and was officially founded in August 1945. Outze continued to work as the paper's editor in chief to his death in 1980. Josephine Fock
Josephine Fock (born 5 September 1965) is a Danish politician, who was a member of the Folketing for The Alternative from 2015 to 2018. She was the leader of the party from 1 February to 14 November 2020 after Uffe Elbæk resigned. Political career Born in Aarhus, Fock was elected into parliament at the 2015 Danish general election. In 2018 she was offered a job for the Danish Refugee Council and she resigned her seat in parliament on 1 November 2018. Julius Graakjær Grantzau took over her seat. On 16 December 2019 the leader of the Alternative, Uffe Elbæk, announced that he would like to pass on the leadership. On 1 February 2020 Fock became the party's new leader. A month later, on 9 March, Uffe Elbæk, Susanne Zimmer, Sikandar Siddique and Rasmus Nordqvist left the party, with Elbæk stating that he "could no longer recognize the party that he founded" under Fock's leadership. The Copenhagen City Council (Danish: ) is the municipal government of Copenhagen, Denmark, and has its seat at Copenhagen City Hall. The city council is Copenhagen's highest political authority and sets the framework for the committees' tasks.
