The Impossibles (TV Series)
''The Impossibles'' is a series of American animated cartoons produced by Hanna-Barbera in 1966 broadcast by CBS. The series of shorts (six minutes each) appeared as part of '' Frankenstein Jr. and The Impossibles''. Setup Posing as a trio of young rock 'n roll musicians, The Impossibles were actually crime fighters, with superpowers, dedicated to battling evil supervillains of all shapes and sizes. When performing for their adoring fans (usually star-struck, screaming teenyboppers), the lads would play their mod, futuristic-looking guitars atop an equally futuristic bandstand (emblazoned with their "Impossibles" logo on the side, ''a la'' Ringo Starr's drumkit) that could convert into a car (the "Impossi-Mobile"), or a jet (the "Impossi-Jet"), a speedboat, or even a submarine. Their standard catch cry when called into action was "Rally ho!" Their humorous dialogue was typically peppered with puns. As with many Hanna-Barbera characters, the Impossibles were topical and inspired ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

It was released in October 1993 as the fourth single from his debut album, ''Love Is Not Sex'' (1993), and features vocals by singer Kim Sanders. It was a sizeable hit in several countries, but like " All I Want", it achieved moderate success in comparison with the two previous Captain Hollywood Project's singles, " More and More" and " Only with You". A music video was also produced, but it did not feature Sanders. Critical reception Larry Flick from ''Billboard'' commented in his review of the ''Love Is Not Sex'' album, that "Impossible" "is another study in contrasts, as aptainHollywood ponders the darkness of greed and power, amid a flurry of active, rave-flavored synth-beats. It is during this particular track that he best exhibits the poise and command of rhyme needed to resurrect the dormant hip-house movement." James Masterton described it as "Euro-disco in the Culture Beat mould" in his weekly UK ch ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |
