Sign "O" The Times
''Sign o' the Times'' (often stylized as ''Sign "☮︎" the Times'') is the ninth studio album by the American singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Prince. It was first released on March 31, 1987, as a double album by Paisley Park Records and Warner Bros. Records. The album is the follow-up to ''Parade'' and is Prince's first solo album following his disbanding of the Revolution. The album's songs were largely recorded during 1986 to 1987 in sessions for releases Prince ultimately aborted: '' Dream Factory'', the pseudonymous '' Camille'', and finally the triple album '' Crystal Ball''. Prince eventually compromised with label executives and shortened the length of the release to a double album. Many of the drum sounds on ''Sign o' the Times'' came from the Linn LM-1 drum machine, and Prince used the Fairlight CMI synthesizer to replace other instruments. Minimal instrumentation is heard on the stripped-down " Sign o’ the Times", the lead single. Four s ...

It (Pulp Album)
''It'' is the debut studio album by English rock band Pulp, released on 18 April 1983 by Red Rhino Records. Release and aftermath ''It'' was originally released as a limited vinyl mini-LP of 2000 copies in April 1983. The album's odd title is in fact a deliberate pun, as when it added to the name of the band it spells the word "Pulpit".Reed, John. "The Complete History of Pulp". ''Record Collector''. December 1994. The first reissue on CD was by Cherry Red in February 1994 with three bonus tracks ("Looking for Life", " Everybody's Problem" and "There Was..."). However, this release was soon deleted as Cherry Red did not own the material. Later that year Fire Records made its own re-release in November 1994, but without "Everybody's Problem" and "There Was..." as bonus tracks. The album existed in this form for all subsequent releases. The album was reissued and remastered by Fire Records in 2012 along with Pulp's 1987's '' Freaks'' and 1992's '' Separations''. IT (XM)
{{Use mdy dates, date=March 2025 "IT: The History of Pop Music" is a program that XM Satellite Radio aired annually from 2002 to 2007, in which a majority of charted pop songs (and some non-charted songs) from the 1930s to the 2000s were aired in chronological order on seven of the platform's channels ( The 40s on 4, The 50s on 5, The 60s on 6, The 70s on 7, The 80s on 8, The 90s on 9, and Pop2K (formerly XM Hitlist)). The special typically aired each summer or fall, starting on the '40s channel and continuing on each subsequent channel as the music hit each decade. The special took just over a month to complete. After completion, playlists for each of the channels were put on XM's website, with the songs listed in the order in which they were played (in 2007, one large list was put up on the website, with the songs organized by year, but in alphabetical order instead of chronological order). "IT" first aired on XM in 2002, when it was originally known as "The Monster". The ...

It (Phish Festival)
Phish is an American rock band formed in 1983, dissolved in 2004, and reunited in 2009. It is one of the most successful live acts in popular music history, forging a popularity in concert far greater than their album sales, radio airplay, or music video presence would otherwise indicate. Phish, at the peak of their popularity in the mid- to late 1990s, consistently ranked as one of the highest-grossing concert tours in the world. Known for its improvisational style, rarely playing a song the same way twice, the band also never played the same set list twice in three decades and more than 1,800 shows. Many Phish fans attend multiple nights on a particular tour, much like sports fans buying season tickets, since each concert will be different. Phish is also known for allowing fans to record the concerts and distribute the recordings. Guitarist Trey Anastasio considered it "free advertising" since it enabled the band's music to be distributed and traded all over the United Stat ...

It (novel)
''It'' is a 1986 horror novel by American author Stephen King. ''It'' was King's 22nd book and the 17th novel written under his own name. The story follows the experiences of seven children terrorized by It (otherwise known as Pennywise), an evil entity that exploits the fears of its victims to disguise itself while hunting its prey. Background In 1978, King and his family lived in Boulder, Colorado. One evening, King ventured alone to pick up his car from the repair shop and came across an old wooden bridge, "humped and oddly quaint". Walking along the bridge caused King to recall the story of " Three Billy Goats Gruff", and the idea of transplanting the tale's scenario into a real-life context interested him. King was further inspired by a line by Marianne Moore—“imaginary gardens with real toads in them"—which in his mind came out as "real trolls in imaginary gardens." King would return to the concept two years later and gradually accumulated ideas and thoughts, par ...

It (poetry Collection)
''It'' () is a 1969 book of poetry by the Danish writer Inger Christensen. The book focuses on social criticism, and lines from it have frequently been quoted in the Danish political discourse. It received the Gyldne Laurbær for best Danish book of the year. Reception The book was reviewed in ''Publishers Weekly'' in 2006: "Christensen's sprawling, cosmically ambitious, book-length poem became a national hit in Denmark soon after its 1969 publication, and it's not hard to see why. The segments' diverse shapes—prose litany, chiming quatrains, stuttering free verse, telegram, prose diary—show mastery enough for almost any taste, while the overarching ideology—liberation for the whole human person from institutions, laws, mere forms—perfectly fit the late '60s' radical mood. ... Nied (who also translated Christensen's ''Alphabet'') duplicates the Danish poem's mathematical schemes while also conveying its freshness and sense of freedom." See also * 1969 in poetry Nation ...
