IO (German Band)
IO (pronounced the English way 'eye-oh', as opposed to the German way 'ee-oh') is a German alternative rock band, formed in 2006 after the breakup of Guano Apes. Original Guano Apes members Henning Rümenapp (guitar), Stefan Ude (bass) and Dennis Poschwatta (drums) reunited after having spent time on individual projects - of which Poschwatta's band Tamoto was the only real band, as well as the most successful. Alternative Metal
Alternative metal (also known as alt-metal) is a genre of heavy metal music that combines heavy metal with influences from alternative rock and other genres not normally associated with metal. Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Guano Apes are a German rock band formed in 1994 in Göttingen. The band consists of Sandra Nasić (vocals), Henning Rümenapp (guitars, backing vocals), Stefan Ude (bass, backing vocals), and Dennis Poschwatta (drums, backing vocals).
