IIUG
The International Informix Users Group (IIUG) is a non-profit organization whose goals are to provide support and education for users of Informix products and technology. Membership to IIUG has always been free. IIUG counted over 28,000 members in 2007. History It has been created in 1995 by five founders: * Carlton Doe, * Walt Hultgren, * Lester Knutsen, * Malcolm Weallans and * Cathy Kipp. As of 2013, the IIUG is a non-profit organization. Services IIUG provides many services to its members including a monthly newsletter, a jobs board, and SIG forums. News One of the main service of IIUG is to publish news through a monthly newsletter (The Insider''). Jean Georges Perrin
Jean-Georges Perrin (born 1971) is an IT serial-entrepreneur from Alsace, France. First French citizen to become an IBM Champion in 2009, along with Jean-Marc Blaise.,, he is now one of the 30 Lifetime IBM Champions. Perrin is a recognized author (self-published, Manning, and O'Reilly). Career Perrin is an IT software engineer, lecturer, and serial entrepreneur. In 1995, he took part in the creation of Pandemonium, one of France's first commercial ISP to be located outside of the Paris area, later acquired by ISION. Informix
Informix is a product family within IBM's Information Management division that is centered on several relational database management system (RDBMS) and multi-model database offerings. The Informix products were originally developed by Informix Corporation, whose Informix Software subsidiary was acquired by IBM in 2001. In April 2017, IBM delegated active development and support to HCL Technologies for 15 years, with a number of IBM employees working on Informix also moving to HCL. As part of this arrangement IBM will continue to market and sell it as IBM Informix to their customers, with HCLTech able to market and sell it as HCL Informix. The current version of Informix is 14.10 and forms the basis of several product editions with variation in capacity and functionality. Stuart Litel
Stuart Litel (born 1961 19 April 2025) is the founder of the New England Informix User Group (NEIUG) and has been an active member of the International Informix Users Group (IIUG), which he joined in 1997. He is a former president of IIUG from 2004 through 2018. Awards and Recognitions Litel is an IBM Champion since 2008, the beginning of the program. He is also an IBM Gold Consultant since 2004. In 2006, he was the winner of the IBM Information Champion person of the year. Informix-4GL is a 4GL programming language developed by Informix during the mid-1980s. At the time of its initial release in 1986, supported platforms included Microsoft Xenix (on IBM PC AT), DEC Ultrix (running on Microvax II, VAX-11/750, VAX-11/785, VAX 8600), Altos 2086, AT&T 3B2, AT&T 3B5, AT&T 3B20 and AT&T Unix PC.
