Huntsville Wildcats
The Huntsville Otters are a Canadian Junior ice hockey team from Huntsville, Ontario. Starting from the 2016-17 season the Otters are members of the Provincial Junior Hockey League. Prior to this change they were members of the Georgian Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League after resigning from the Ontario Junior Hockey League in the Spring of 2012. History Joining the ranks of Junior hockey in 1990, the Muskoka Bears were a member of the Metro Junior A Hockey League. Prior to this, the team had played Junior C hockey. Huntsville is a town in Muskoka. It is located north of Toronto and south of North Bay. 2000–01 OPJHL Season
The 2000–01 OPJHL season is the eighth season of the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League (OPJHL). The thirty-seven teams of the North, South, East, and West divisions competed in a 49-game schedule. Come February, the top eight teams of each division competed for the Frank L. Buckland Trophy, the OPJHL championship. The winner of the Buckland Cup, the Thornhill Rattlers, went on to win the Dudley Hewitt Cup as Central Canadian Champions. The Rattlers were not successful in winning the 2001 Royal Bank Cup. Stayner Siskins
The Stayner Siskins are a Canadian Junior ice hockey team based in Stayner, Ontario. They were members of the Georgian Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League until 2016 when it merged into the Provincial Junior Hockey League. History The Stayner Siskins began their journey in 1972 as a member of the South-Central Junior D Hockey League. The next year, the league was promoted and became the Central Ontario Junior C Hockey League. In these early years, the Siskins were not overly successful in their league, but during the playoff were sent out to represent the league in the All-Ontario Junior "D" playdowns for the Ontario Hockey Association Cup. The Siskins first appearance in the All-Ontario Junior D championship came during the 1973-74 season. The Erin Shamrocks were a junior ice hockey team based in Erin, Ontario, Canada. They played in the Georgian Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League. History The Acton Sabres were founded in 1971 as a member of the South-Central Junior D Hockey League. In 1973, the league was promoted and changed to the Central Ontario Junior C Hockey League. In 1976, the league changed its name to the Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League, but the Sabres had bigger ambitions and opted out of the league to join the Central Ontario Junior B Hockey League and compete against their local rival the Georgetown Gemini. The Sabres played in the Central Junior B League until 1984. They sat out the 1984-85 season before moving down to the Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League. Alliston Hornets
The Alliston Hornets are a Canadian Junior ice hockey team based in Alliston, Ontario, Canada. Fergus Devils
The Fergus Devils were a Junior ice hockey team based in Fergus, Ontario, Canada. They played in the former Georgian Mid-Ontario Junior C Hockey League (now a part of the PJHL),.
