''Huaxia'' (華夏, ) is a historical concept representing the Chinese nation, and came from the self-awareness of a common cultural ancestry by the various confederations of pre-Qin ethnic ancestors of Han people. The Hoa people ( Vietnamese: ''Người Hoa'', or ) are citizens of Vietnam of full or partial Chinese origin. Chinese migration into Vietnam dates back millennia but most Hoa today derive their recent ancestral Chinese heritage from the 18th century, especially from southern Chinese provinces. Hua County
Hua County or Huaxian () is a county under the administration of Anyang City, in the north of Henan province, China. Its predecessor administrative area Huazhou/Hua prefecture was first established in 596 during the Sui dynasty. In 606 it was named Yanzhou (), and soon after as Dong commandery. In 618 it was combined with present Changyuan and Yanjin as Huazhou again. In 1372 it was demoted to a county. The name 'Hua' means 'slip', given because the city had many slipways. Location Hua County is located in the southmost part of Anyang. To its north lies Neihuang County, also in Anyang; to its east Puyang County in Puyang; to its south the counties of Changyuan and Fengqiu, both in Xinxiang; to its west Xinxiang's Yanjin County and Hebi's Xun County. Hua County, Shaanxi
Huazhou District (), formerly Hua County or Huaxian (), is a district of Weinan, Shaanxi province, China. It was upgraded from a county to a district in 2015. The district spans an area of , and has a population of about 324,300 as of 2012. History During the Western Zhou period, the area belonged to the State of Zheng. During the Spring and Autumn period, the State of Qin established in the area of present-day Huazhou. Zheng County was put under the jurisdiction of Hua Prefecture. Early in the Yuan dynasty, Zheng County was merged into Hua Prefecture. The epicenter of the 1556 Shaanxi earthquake was in Huazhou District. In 1913, Hua Prefecture was re-organized as Hua County. On May 23, 1949, the area was taken by forces of the People's Liberation Army. Mount Hua () is a mountain located near the city of Huayin in Shaanxi Province, about east of Xi'an. It is the "Western Mountain" of the Five Great Mountains of China and has a long history of religious significance. Originally classified as having three peaks, in modern times the mountain is classified as five main peaks, the highest of which is the South Peak at . Hua Islet () is an islet in Huayu Village (), Wangan Township, Penghu County (the Pescadores), Taiwan. Hua Islet is the westernmost point in Penghu (the Pescadores). The island has also been known as "West Islet" (). The Japanese-built Huayu Lighthouse (Hua Islet Lighthouse) is located on the southwestern hill of the island. Ferries run periodically between Magong and Hua Islet as well as between Wangan Island and Hua Islet.
