Hoya de Huesca/Plana de Uesca is a comarca (county) in the province of Huesca (Spain). * Capital city: Huesca, also the biggest of the 40 municipalities of the comarca. * Surface: 2,525.60 km². * Population: 60,525 (2002). It occupies the central area of Somontano, between the Sotón and Alcanadre rivers and the Gratal and Guara mountains. The Isuela, Flumen and Guatizalema rivers also flow across its territory. It borders on the following comarcas: * North - Jacetania and Alto Gállego * South - Zaragoza and Monegros * East - Somontano de Barbastro * West - Cinco Villas The local economy is based on agriculture and cattle raising. Cinco Villas, in Aragonese: Zinco Billas, is a comarca in Aragon, Spain. This comarca is named after the five historical towns of Tauste, Ejea de los Caballeros (capital comarcal), Sádaba, Uncastillo and Sos del Rey Católico. Somontano De Barbastro
Somontano de Barbastro ( Aragonese: ''Semontano de Balbastro)'' is a comarca in Province of Huesca, Aragon, Spain. Somontano borders the counties of Sobrarbe and Alto Gállego to the north, Ribagorza and La Litera to the east, Cinca Medio to the southwest, the Monegros desert to the south and Hoya de Huesca to the west. As its Latin name suggests, ''Somontano'', meaning "''beneath the mountain''", lies at the foothills of the Pyrenees. The area is abundantly irrigated by four important rivers which flow down from the north: the Alcanadre, Cinca, Ésera and the river Vero. Monegros
Los Monegros is a comarca in Aragon, Spain. It is located within the provinces of Zaragoza and Huesca. The area is prone to chronic droughts, and much of the area is a natural region made up of badlands. Los Monegros borders seven comarcas: Hoya de Huesca to the North; Somontano de Barbastro, Cinca Medio, and Bajo Cinca to the East; Zaragoza to the West; and Ribera Baja del Ebro and Bajo Aragón-Caspe to the South. La Jacetania ( an, A Chacetania; french: Jacétanie) is a comarca in northern Aragon, Spain. It is located in the northwestern corner of the Huesca and Zaragoza provinces. The administrative capital is Jaca, with 13,374 inhabitants the largest town of the comarca. The area is famous for its ski resorts.
