Houston Calls was an American rock band, based in Rockaway, New Jersey, United States. They formed in 2003 and were signed to Rushmore Records (a subsidiary of Drive-Thru Records). On June 9, 2009, they announced their official breakup.http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=1108082 History Formation (2002–2004) Shortly after the New Jersey ska punk group Face First disbanded in 2002, singer/guitarist Tom "Chitty" Keiger, bassist Jarrett Selzer, trumpeter Rich "Okie" Okamoto and drummer Tommie Clayton decided to reunite to play a poppier, more synthesized form of modern punk rock. Therefore, Okamoto switched from trumpet to keyboard, and Kenny Ryan, formerly of Hidden in Plain View, joined as a second guitarist. The name "Houston Calls", according to the band, is a combination of chapter titles from the ''Apollo 13'' DVD. Other choices included "Zoltar Madness" (from '' Big''), "Giant Green Insanity" (from '' The Toxic Avenger''), and "Deeds in NY" (from ''Mr. Deed ...

Rob Freeman
Robert Andrew Freeman (born March 26, 1981 in Andover, New Jersey) is the guitarist, backing vocalist and primary songwriter for the pop punk/ post-hardcore group Hidden in Plain View. He owns/works at The Pilot Studio as a record producer, recording various up and coming artists. Biography Hidden in Plain View Upon forming in August 2000, Hidden in Plain View began playing concerts somewhat frequently, in hopes of being able to make a living out of their music. Freeman, from Stanhope, New Jersey, joined other musicians from North Jersey in establishing the band. After graduating high school, the band released their debut EP ''Find'' (2001) independently and their sophomore EP '' Operation: Cut-Throat'' (2002) on Note to Self Records and re-released by LLR Recordings, while the number of fans attending their shows increased steadily. Following several line-up changes, Drive-Thru Records signed the band in June 2003 and released their four-song sampler EP ''Hidden in Plain View ...

Quietdrive
Quietdrive is an alternative rock band based in Hopkins, Minnesota, USA, that was formed in 2002. Quietdrive released their first album, ''When All That's Left Is You'', on May 30, 2006, on Epic Records. In April 2008, Quietdrive left Epic Records and released an album titled ''Deliverance'' on October 14, 2008, with the Militia Group. In 2009, they left Militia Group and released an independent EP titled ''Close Your Eyes'' on their own record label, Sneaker 2 Bombs Records. Their third full-length album, ''Quietdrive'', was released on December 14, 2010, and a full-length album, ''Up or Down'', on April 24, 2012. Fenix TX
Fenix TX (styled as Fenix*TX) is an American pop punk band. The band originally formed as Riverfenix in 1995 in Houston, Texas. They released an Extended play, EP, ''G.B.O.H.'', and an album, ''Riverfenix (album), Riverfenix'', on independent record labels, before having to change their name due to a cease and desist order from the estate of actor River Phoenix. Following the change of name, they signed with major label MCA Records in 1999. On MCA, they released two further albums, 1999's ''Fenix TX (album), Fenix TX'' and 2001's ''Lechuza (album), Lechuza'', which collectively sold over 600,000 units. The band broke up in 2002 over creative differences. Ed Rose
Ed Rose is an American sound engineer and record producer. He has worked extensively with groups in the modern emo and pop punk scenes. He also co-owns Black Lodge Recording with Rob Pope and his brother Ryan Pope, members of the emo band The Get Up Kids. History Rose held an interest in sound recording in his high school years, which was nurtured by his family. One year he got a Fostex X-15 recorder for Christmas. The next year he moved up to a Fostex 250, which he still uses. His interest in sound recording continued to grow, and he decided to attend the Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts. He interned at Studio 55 in Los Angeles. After an ownership change, he left Studio 55 and tried freelancing for six months. However, he found himself doing more technical setup than engineering, so he moved to Lawrence, Kansas in 1991 to attend The University of Kansas to get a degree in electrical engineering.
