Hillingdon Tube Station
Hillingdon tube station is a London Underground station in North Hillingdon in the London Borough of Hillingdon, West London. Located between Uxbridge and Ickenham, it is in Travelcard Zone 6. It is the penultimate station on the Uxbridge branch of both the Metropolitan line and the Piccadilly line. Resited in 1992, it is also the most recently constructed station on the Metropolitan line. History The Metropolitan Railway ( Harrow & Uxbridge Railway) constructed the line between Harrow on the Hill and Uxbridge; this was opened on 4 July 1904, with an intermediate station at Ruislip. At first services were operated by steam trains, before electrification was completed on 1 January 1905. Development in north Middlesex over the next two decades led to the opening of additional stations to encourage the growth of new residential areas. The Oxford to London coach route is an express coach route between Oxford and London along the M40 motorway. Operated by Stagecoach West under the brand name ''Oxford Tube'', there are up to five coaches an hour via Lewknor, Hillingdon, and Shepherd's Bush, terminating on Buckingham Palace Road, Victoria. The former X90 route, which was operated by the Oxford Bus Company, ran up to two coaches an hour via Baker Street, also terminating on Buckingham Palace Road. Cockfosters Tube Station
Cockfosters is a London Underground station on the Piccadilly line, for which it is the northern terminus. The station is located on Cockfosters Road ( A111) approximately nine miles () from central London and serves Cockfosters. It is on the boundary of the London Borough of Barnet and the London Borough of Enfield. The station is in Travelcard Zone 5 and the next station towards Central London is Oakwood. Aldgate is a London Underground station near Aldgate in the City of London. The station is on the Circle line between and , and is the eastern terminus of the Metropolitan line. It is in Travelcard Zone 1. Aldgate was opened in 1876 with its entrance on Aldgate High Street. A station named opened nearby eight years later and is served today by the District and Hammersmith & City lines.
