Herbert Schwamborn
Herbert Schwamborn is a Zimbabwean born film and music producer, also known by his artist name of Metaphysics. He is most famous for being a member of the multi-platinum selling German band Söhne Mannheims (''Sons of Mannheim''). He is also the founder of Gandanga Music Zimbabwe, a record label based in Zimbabwe and Germany. Early life He was born in 1973 in the Mbare suburb of Salisbury, Rhodesia to a German father and Zimbabwean mother. Music career Herbert began his career as a radio host on Zimbabwean radio (Radio1) while he was still in High School, the radio show "Young Zimbabwe" targeted teen related issues. During his early years in radio Herbert began experimenting with music production and formed one of Zimbabwe's first Hip-Hop groups "Lethal Language" the group was featured in the USA based magazine The Source . Harare
Harare (; formerly Salisbury ) is the capital and most populous city of Zimbabwe. The city proper has an area of 940 km2 (371 mi2) and a population of 2.12 million in the 2012 census and an estimated 3.12 million in its metropolitan area in 2019. Söhne Mannheims (German: �zøːnə ˈmanhaɪms ''Sons of Mannheim'') is a German pop and soul band founded 1995 in Mannheim by Xavier Naidoo and others. History The Group was founded in 1995 by Xavier Naidoo, Claus Eisenmann, Robbee Mariano and others. In 2000 they released their first studio album ''Zion''. The biggest hit from this album was "Geh Davon Aus" (it translates as "Assume That"). After several solo projects by the group members, they met in the studio to record their second album, ''Noiz''. Their second big hit was the song "Und Wenn ein Lied" ("And When a Song"), which stood at number 2 on the German single-chart for the whole winter of 2005. Mbare
Mbare is a suburb in the south of Harare, Zimbabwe. Founded in 1907 as a township, it includes an informal settlement. Mbare Musika is the largest farm produce market in Zimbabwe. History Mbare was the first township, now known as a high density area, established in 1907. It was originally called Harari and much of it was constructed after 1950. Before the 1980s the government built the Matapi flats. A total of fourteen blocks of apartments were built to house bachelors who came to Harare (then Salisbury) to find employment. Since the 1980s the apartments have become multifamily, with the rooms divided by curtains or boxes. The population of the flats has grown from 3,000 to an estimated 28,000 to 30,000. Rudi Schwamborn, professionally known as Carlprit, is a German- Zimbabwean rapper, actor, songwriter, and music manager. He has performed and written for acts such as Cascada, Alexandra Stan and Laurent Wolf. Schwamborn is best known for his song "Fiesta" as well as his appearance in Cascada's 2009 hit single " Evacuate the Dancefloor". The title sold over three million copies worldwide and reached the top 20 on Billboard charts, making Carlprit the first person of Zimbabwean origin to have a song on the top U.S. Billboard charts.
