Haskins Award
The Haskins Award is presented annually by the Haskins Commission to honor the most outstanding collegiate golfer in the United States. The award is named in memory of Fred Haskins, former golf teaching professional at the Country Club of Columbus (Georgia). Votes are tabulated by the Haskins Commission from select writers, golf coaches, and collegiate golfers. It is college golf's equivalent to college football's Heisman Trophy. Beau Hossler
Beau Hossler (born March 16, 1995) is an American professional golfer from Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Hossler was only 17 years old when he qualified for his second consecutive U.S. Open, finishing tied for 29th in the 2012 U.S. Open. He had held the outright lead midway through the second round. Matt Hill (golfer)
Matt Hill (born September 12, 1988) is a Canadian professional golfer best known for winning the NCAA Division I Championship in 2009. He currently plays on PGA Tour Canada. Amateur career Hill was born in Sarnia, Ontario. He grew up in the Sarnia suburb of Brights Grove, the same neighborhood that Mike Weir grew up in. Hill played college golf at North Carolina State University. The NC State Wolfpack is the nickname of the athletic teams representing North Carolina State University. The Wolfpack competes at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I ( Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) for college football) as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) for all sports since the 1953–54 season. Russell Henley (born April 12, 1989) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. Amateur career Born in Macon, Georgia, Henley attended Stratford Academy in Macon. He played college golf for four years at the University of Georgia in Athens. He won the 2010 Haskins Award as the most outstanding collegiate golfer and played in the U.S. Open and tied for the low amateur (with Scott Langley). Patrick Cantlay (born March 17, 1992) is an American professional golfer. He had a successful amateur career and was the number one golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 55 weeks. Michael Sangwon Kim (born July 14, 1993) is an American professional golfer with one PGA Tour victory. Early life Kim is the son of Sun and Yun Kim.
