Hannah Stone (actor)
Hannah Stone (born 1987) is a professional Welsh harpist. Since 2007 she has performed internationally and won a number of prizes, and from 2011 to 2015 was Official Harpist to the Prince of Wales. Education Stone graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. As part of an exchange programme, she studied at the Universität Mozarteum, Salzburg, under Professor Helga Storck. In 2010 she furthered her studies at Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama (RWCMD), Cardiff, where she graduated in 2012 with a Master of Arts. Career Hannah Stone began performing at the age of 8. When she was 15, she played for The Queen on Her Majesty's Jubilee Tour of Wales in 2002, and has played for the Royal Family on several other occasions. In October 2008, Stone was selected to represent the Guildhall School in collaboration with the Academies Festival Orchestra, Singapore. Mumbles
Mumbles ( cy, Mwmbwls) is a headland sited on the western edge of Swansea Bay on the southern coast of Wales. Toponym Mumbles has been noted for its unusual place name. The headland is thought by some to have been named by French sailors, after the shape of the two anthropomorphic islands which the headland comprises: the word "Mumbles" may be a corruption of the French ''les mamelles,'' meaning "the breasts". Another possible source of the name is the word Mamucium, which is generally thought to represent a Latinisation of an original Brythonic name, either from mamm- ("breast", in reference to a "breast-like hill") or from mamma ("mother", in reference to a local river goddess). Claire Jones (harpist)
Claire Jones (born in 1985) is a Welsh harpist who held the title of Official Harpist to the Prince of Wales from 2007 to 2011. Career Jones began playing the harp at the age of 10; she performed for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh when she was 16. In 2007, she was one of the inaugural winners of The Prince of Wales’s Advanced Study in Music Award, and was appointed as the Prince's official harpist for a 3-year term. During the previous year, she had won the harp solo at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, been a finalist at the Third International Harp Contest in France, and won the Royal College of Music Harp Competition. She performed at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2011 and is an ambassador for The Prince's Foundation for Children and The Arts.
