Hainan Kopi Tales
Hainan Kopi Tales (琼园咖啡香) is a Singaporean Chinese drama serial produced by Mediacorp which aired in year 2000 on Channel 8. The drama serial follow the lives of Hainanese in Singapore from the 1960s to the 1990s. Story Using Qiong Yuan, a Hainan coffeeshop as a backdrop, this nostalgic drama explores the Hainanese way of life from the 60s to the 80s. Long Fuyuan (Li Wenhai), a Hainanese coffeeshop owner, has three sons (Long Yongan, Long Yongbiao and Long Yonglin) in Singapore and has two sons (Long Ya Xing and Long Ya Zhou) with his second wife in Indonesia (Once, Long Fuyuan went to Indonesia, was attacked, was taken care of by her, and the two of them got married there). Chew Chor Meng
Chew Chor Meng (born 20 November 1968), better known as Zhou Chuming, is a Singaporean actor. He is one of the first batch of actors to receive the All-Time Favourite Artiste award with Zoe Tay & Li Nanxing. Career Chew started his career in showbiz after winning Star Search in 1990, a bi-annual nationwide talent search. Since then, he has never failed to make it to the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes in the Star Awards, an award ceremony for TV personalities, since its inception in 1994. Star Awards 2000 is the eighth installment of the annual Star Awards presented by the Television Corporation of Singapore to honour its artistes who work on Channel 8. The ceremony were hosted by Timothy Chao and Yvette Tsui. The award ceremony saw numerous changes in the award ceremony, with the Taiwan popularity votes being discontinued and were solely decided by the Malaysia viewers alone, new categories were introduced (such as the Best News/Current Affairs Presenter, now as two separate categories), and nominations for both Primetime and Daytime programs were merged.
