Eastern Sports Club (basketball)
The Eastern basketball team (), is a professional men's basketball team of the Eastern Sports Club. The team also known as and Hong Kong Eastern for sponsorship reason. The team competes in the Hong Kong A1 Division and the ASEAN Basketball League since 2016. History Eastern basketball team is a section of Eastern Sports Club (officially known as Eastern Athletic Association Football Team Limited). In 2015 season the team won and promoted to 2016 Hong Kong A1 Division Championship. The team became fully professional in 2016. In the same year, the club would adopt the name Hong Kong Eastern and join the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL). They won the 2016–17 ABL season, and finished as semifinalists for the next two seasons. Fukien Athletic Club () are a Hong Kong professional multi-sports club, best known for its football team. Its football club currently plays in the Hong Kong Third Division. History Fukien Athletic Club was founded in 1925. At the early period, the club was funded by Chinese businessman and philanthropist Tan Kah Kee, who heralded from Fujian, as well as by group of Fujian immigrants. The club entered the Hong Kong football league system in 1930. In 1990, Fukien won their first trophy, capturing the Junior Shield. The club won their first league title nine years later, winning the Hong Kong Third A Division for 1998–99. Three years later, Fukien won the 2001–02 Hong Kong Second Division title and were promoted into the top flight for the first time.
