Héctor Omar Hoffmann Fenzel
Héctor Omar Hoffmann Fenzel, better known as Sergio Denis (16 March 1949 – 15 May 2020) was an Argentine singer-songwriter and occasional actor. Biography Héctor Omar Hoffmann Fenzel was born in a family of descendants from Volga Germans; his father being Feliciano Hoffmann and his mother María Esther Fenzel. The only exception to this Volga German background was his maternal grandmother, of Spanish descent. During his childhood, he used to sing in school festivals and family meetings. When he was 16 years old, he was a member of a band named "Los Jokers", with which he toured for 4 years the neighbouring cities to his town. In March 1969 he moved to Buenos Aires and entered the group "Los Bambis", and together recorded for the first time for Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS). Coronel Suárez is a city in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is the administrative centre for Coronel Suárez Partido. The Mamas & the Papas were an American folk rock vocal group that recorded and performed from 1965 to 1968, with a brief reunion in 1971. The group was a defining force in the music scene of the counterculture of the 1960s. Ariel Ramírez (4 September 1921 – 18 February 2010) was an Argentine composer, pianist and music director. He was considered "a chief exponent of Argentine folk music" and noted for his "iconic" musical compositions. Ramírez is known primarily for his ''Misa Criolla'' (1964). It allowed him to travel around Europe and Latin America to build his reputation. However, he wrote more than 300 compositions during his career, and sold over 10 million albums. Eduardo Falú (July 7, 1923August 9, 2013) was an Argentine folk music guitarist and composer. Life and work Eduardo Falú was born in El Galpón, a village near San José de Metán in the province of Salta, in 1923. His parents, Fada and Juan Falú, were Syrian immigrants. Raised in rural surroundings, he was strongly influenced by the folk traditions of Salta (which remain, in Falú's words, "something lively, dynamic and evolutionary"). Falú was given his first guitar as a gift during childhood, and he began to perform traditional folk tunes of the Argentine Northwest as a troubadour. Cuarteto Zupay or simply Los Zupay, was an Argentinian Popular Music group formed in Buenos Aires in 1966 that remained active until 1991. The founding members were the brothers Pedro Pablo García Caffi (baritone) and Juan José García Caffi (first tenor), Eduardo Vittar Smith (Bass (voice), bass) and Aníbal López Monteiro (second tenor). Over the years, the group's line-up changed with the exception of Pedro Pablo García Caffi, holder of the group's name, who remained a member until its dissolution.
