''Hustlenomics'' (stylized as ''HUSTLENOMIC$'') is the second studio album by American rapper Yung Joc. It was released, by Bad Boy Records on August 28, 2007. The album contains the singles " Coffee Shop" and "Bottle Poppin," both featuring rapper Gorilla Zoe. History The first single from the album is " Coffee Shop" which features Gorilla Zoe. The second single off the album, "Bottle Poppin", was leaked to the internet in May. Like the first single, the track featured Gorilla Zoe. It was produced by Don P of Trillville. It also featured the song "Chevy Smile", which Yung Joc said would be the number one song of the year. The song samples Gorilla Zoe's "Hood Figga". The single reached number three on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart, and number 59 and 25 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Tracks charts, respectively. Coffee Shop (Yung Joc Song)
"Coffee Shop" is the first single from Yung Joc's second album '' Hustlenomics''. It was officially released on May 5, 2007, but had been leaked onto the Internet beforehand. The track features Gorilla Zoe and uncredited chorus vocals by The-Dream. Joc and T-Pain performed the song at the season finale of Making the Band. Critical reception "Coffee Shop" was met with mixed reviews from music critics. AllMusic's David Jeffries praised Joc's more laid-back delivery of his established catchy hooks and swagger, calling it "a playful number that combines hard thugging and coffee culture in ways never thought possible." Jasiel Amon Robinson (born September 20, 1980), better known by his stage name Yung Joc, is an American rapper known for his 2006 single " It's Goin' Down", which peaked at number three on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Prior to its release, he signed with Puff Daddy's Bad Boy South, an imprint of Atlantic Records, in a joint venture with Block Entertainment; the song served as lead single for his debut studio album, '' New Joc City'' (2006). Bad Boy South is a southern hip hop spin-off label of Bad Boy Records. The label was founded by Sean Combs in 2003. History Bad Boy South was founded in 2003 after this signing of 8 Ball & MJG. The label was created to capitalize on the success of southern hip hop and to have one label simply focus on that genre so that the mainstream label could go out and search for other talents. For the first year, 8 Ball & MJG were the only artists on the label. In 2005, the label signed a deal with Russell "Block" Spencer to cross-promote artists on his label, Block Entertainment. He founded the record label Sho'nuff Records in 1995, through which he signed R&B singer Ciara in 2003. Bernard James Freeman (born March 19, 1973), known professionally as Bun B, is an American rapper. He is best known as one half of the Southern rap duo UGK (Underground Kingz), a group he formed in 1987 alongside Pimp C.
