"Human Sadness" is the debut single by American rock band Julian Casablancas + The Voidz. It was released on September 2, 2014 via Casablancas' indie record label Cult Records and is from their debut album ''Tyranny (Julian Casablancas + The Voidz album), Tyranny''. The song is nearly eleven minutes long. Origin and composition Drummer Alex Carapetis brought a sample of Mozart's Requiem (Mozart), Requiem in D Minor to lead singer Julian Casablancas attention, which was then used as a starting point. Requiem (Mozart)
The Requiem in D minor, K. 626, is a requiem mass by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791). Mozart composed part of the Requiem in Vienna in late 1791, but it was unfinished at his death on 5 December the same year. A completed version dated 1792 by Franz Xaver Süssmayr was delivered to Count Franz von Walsegg, who commissioned the piece for a requiem service on 14 February 1792 to commemorate the first anniversary of the death of his wife Anna at the age of 20 on 14 February 1791. The autograph manuscript shows the finished and orchestrated Introit in Mozart's hand, and detailed drafts of the Kyrie and the sequence Dies irae as far as the first eight bars of the Lacrymosa movement, and the Offertory. Nicholaus Edward Goossen (born August 18, 1978) is a director, and a photographer. Life and career Goossen's first feature film was '' Grandma's Boy'' for Happy Madison Productions and 20th Century Fox. ''The Age of Adz'' ( ) is the sixth studio album by American singer/songwriter Sufjan Stevens, released on October 12, 2010 by Asthmatic Kitty. It was Stevens' first song-based full-length album in five years, since the release of ''Illinois'' in 2005. The album features heavy use of electronics augmented by orchestration and takes inspiration from the apocalyptic artwork of schizophrenic artist Royal Robertson. Stevens' use of electronics marked a radical departure from much of his previous work—most notably from ''Seven Swans'' and ''Michigan''.
